Aircraft of the FAA carry the words "ROYAL NAVY" on their side, so a simple ribbon with those words on a Navy Blue or Dark Sea Gray background might make a clearer Ribbon rather than the FAA flag.
I'll add my name to the list, I have a Korean War Sea Fury planned, or a Korean War Fairy Firefly MK5 if I can get hold of the recently announced kit in time.

Count me in, don't know what yet, I have got a Camel Revell 1/28 scale, but I'll probably look round for something else, Sea Vixen or Sea Hawk possibly. I used to have a Skua many years ago and a "Bloody Barra", I think both Frog, wonder if I can get one of those. The other one I remember building years ago was a Wessex, that would be different. Hmmm..

Oops got my acronyms mixed up, RAAF/FAA, what's the difference?
I've got a Wyvern, Sea Fury, and a Seafire to choose from for this so I'm still in.

Michael, I'm not sure that rule number 1 is worded quite right on the enlistment page.
"Entry must be ------- operated aircraft from between the wars."
Are aircraft and markings used during the wars excluded?

Ben,
You have a point. What I meant was that I wanted to include that period between the wars when the RAF ran the Navy's air arm, but it did look confusing. I changed it to be all inclusive. Let me know if it reads better now.

Enlisted...
Doing the old Frog Avenger II in FAA markings 1945.
I was going to build it in the FROG campaign but decided to switch it to this campaign. Hope I did not break the 'do not start' rule too much. I did a tape together and marked all the sink holes to be filled until I was told the FROG campaign had not started yet. I have since put it back in my stash (that was easy... done it many of times). Anyways there it is in all its glory.
Cheers

Hi Michael,
Just found this campaign, have got quite a bit of FAA stuff in the loft, would be good opportunity to get one built.
Don't know what it will be, but have the Special Hobby Skua with the Ally cat Wingfold amongst the stuff, might be a thought.

Great to have you Si! I haven't made up my mind yet either (at the moment a 1/48 Swordfish is vying with a 1/32 Sea Fury) but there's plenty of time.

Just signed in. Not sure yet what I will build. I can choose between Italeri's new Sea Hurri or the Fairey Fulmar from Eduard/MPM, both in quarterscale. I'm not in the mood for a Tarpoon so far ....

Hi,
Been lurking at this campaign proposal for quite some time thinking wether or not to enlist.
I don't want to get crushed by too many ideas and deadlines that basically result in none or few sucessfull builds.
Anyway the theme is very tempting to me cause i never actually built any RN plane. So,Michael count me in with a Blackburn Skua quarter scale.
Cheers

A slight change of plan! I have just committed the Sea Venom to the 1st Generation Jet Fighters Campaign (only thing in the stash that fits). As it looks like several builders will be making RN Phantoms, I will be different and build a Fairey Gannet.

Personally, I'm leaning toward a catapult launched Hawker Hurricane in 48 scale. I have the Hasegawa kit in the stash.

Looking forward to it! Leaning towards a Tamiya Swordfish but not sure if I'll do Taranto or pre-war.
