Jonathan, nice touch with the gold border. So far that's the one. Makes for a easy to see ribbon.
I'm going to add your name to the pre-enlistee list since you're already helping with the ribbon selection process.

Yes, Ill be there. I have several candidates for a Grumman campaign. I have already started an Albatross for the Rescue campaign, but I have a Duck, a Panther and a Hellcat unbuilt, all in 1/144 scale.

hmmm, this one managed to fly under my radar for a bit. I've got at least 2 F4F's, at least 2 F6F's and 2 TBF(M)'s around here somewhere. Depending on the timing, I'm in.

Joel,
I'm not a grumman fan or have a particular interest on their planes, but you can count me in just because of the whole idea of what a forum/campaign should be. I'll definitly will do my best to keep a building thread.
Now i have a Wildcat and it's ubiquous alter-ego the Hellcat. Not sure wich i will pull out of the stash, but i like the idea of a Wildcat in operation Torch disguise
Cheers

Pedro, welcome to the unofficial campaign thread. I'm still waiting for the word it's a go, and then the admin will create the official thread for us. Your attitude is just outstanding, and with guys like you, this campaign will reach all of it's goals. It's going to be a blast for sure.
Sascha, welcome aboard. Like I said this is just an open, unofficial thread, but we've already got more then the min needed number of members to qualify for campaign status.

Grumman is probably 30% of my aircraft stash. OK, so thats 3 or 4 kits... I'll decide when we get there, but either a Wildcat (1/72 or 1/48) or a Tomcat (1/144).
Cheers!

Allen thank you for getting the Grumman campaign a reality. I'll be active in the thread trying to build up the enlistees and get everyone excited about it. Off to enlist myself right now.

Well, I just enlisted. Already have 8 enlistees counting me. Everyone who previously has pre-enlisted, please go sign up. Also please subscribe to this thread so you can follow it more easily.
The rules have been somewhat modified. The build thread in the appropriate era forum is now optional, but I strongly urge each of you to do so. It helps all of us follow your build from start to finish, gets those who usually don't or haven't done a build thread over the hump, and makes it easy for non-campaign members to follow and view your work, which makes Aeroscale a more active modeling community.
Start date isn't until July. So you can post your entry or entries here, and change as often as you wish. The official campaign thread doesn't start till July when the campaign starts. Naturally, I'm hoping that we get as many different aircraft as possible, but by all means, build what you want to. Grumman's has a long line of Naval aircraft from pre-WW11 to present date.
Right now I'm planning on two builds: A F6F in 1/48 scale. Just not sure if it's going to be a 3 or 5 version. And I really want to take a shot at the Accurate Miniatures 1/48 scale F3F-1 or 2. Never built a bi-plane before.
The campaign ribbon has already been done and accepted, so we don't have to knock that around any more. Looks darn good if you ask me. Thanks to all that helped to design it. A true team effort.

This is the only one I need to get so that my collection from F3F to F-14 is complete.
Of course that leaves open the question of where to get a 1/48 Fifi and F2F. If I'm really feeling crazy maybe I can covert my Glencoe Duck...

Jessica and Mark, welcome aboard. Please don't forget to enlist now that we've been officially approved.
Jessica, please do the XF10F-1 Jaguar "Swing Wing", I'm sure no one will being doing a 2nd one.
Jessica and Allen, is there a way to change the name of the thread to remove "Proposed" ?

I'll wait until closer to the start date. I have to balance my editing workload with the campaigns I enter. Allen will have to be the one to edit the thread title; I don't have mod privileges in this forum.

Jessica, thanks. Will ask Allen, as it makes little sense to have members think that it's a proposed campaign when it's an approved one.

I'm in with a Korean War Panther in 1/48. Still to decide on if it is going to be Marine or Navy, just depends on what decals I come up with.

I have ordered Kinetic's new S2F-1 Tracker, and I hoped to use it for this campaign. It is sad that we as a whole are so campaigned up it will take a year to be able to start. Gee, I could be dead by then.
I'm likely not going to enlist until we get closer to the date. If I do decide to start the Tracker before the campaign, no worries. I have a huge number of Grumman aircraft of many types in the stash.

Ben, I feel your frustration, really I do. Originally, Jan was my goal start date, but as you said, July is now the official start date. Nearly a full year to go. I'm sure that many feel the same way as you, but there is nothing we can do other then to just sign on and hang in there. Stopping by to talk about our modeling plans, and or changes will keep us all going.
Aeroscale as a whole has a very active membership when it comes to building and participating in campaigns. Which is a very good thing. Nothing worse then a campaign with just a few members. Because of this interest, there are way more proposed, and ready for enlistment campaigns then the forum can accommodate on a pick your own start frame time. So they're is a workable limit per month.
Personally speaking, I have another campaign proposal that I'm sure will peak the interest of just about every prop modeler out there. Just don't want it to have a start date within 6 months of the this campaign, so I'm going to wait 6 months, then propose it. Also I don't think that I have the time to do two of these enlist threads, plus my other enlisted campaigns and builds.
Speaking of signing on, why not just sign up now? There is no requirement as to naming, and then sticking with that particular kit. You can change your mind as much as you deem fit, and it's part of the "joy & fun" of the waiting period.
Allen is also working with Jim to create something special for us, that will be a true 1st for Aeroscale.
