Speaking of signing on, why not just sign up now?
Actually, its only because of a minor glich within me. On my campaign profile, I've entered into 10 campaigns, of which 6 are presently underway. I just cannot find enough time to work on all those models in the required time frames. So I will fail in completeing at least 50% of the campaigns I've entered. I really do want to work on those models I've selected; there's just so many models and so little time left.
I know I have a big mouth, and talk is cheap. Still, I'm trying not to enter more campaigns until I can clear that profile page somewhat, with completed models. Every time I look at that page, I say to myself "Oh my! What have I done."
Anyway, enough yap. Lets get on with it.
To prevent being called an 'expert', screw something up good every now and again.

Ben, I feel your frustration. I know 1st hand how easy it is to sign up for every campaign that interests you, then once reality sets in, only to have to un-enlist because I had no time to build all those models.
When you feel you're ready, join us. If not, then you're more then welcome to stop by anytime.

Howdy Y'all
Ben: I feel your frustration also. I'm not letting it stop me though. I just signed up. My goal is to complete 17 model campaigns by the end of 2014. That's how many I've signed up for, including this one.
Take care,

Starting in Jan. 2014 you said? Well, that fits me. And I have quite a few Grumman kits in my stash, so you can count me in. Might come up with a Hobbyboss Wildcat/Martlet or Eduard Hellcat in 1/48
Earlier this year I built a Tigercat and a Bearcat ....
Happy modelling

Everyone needs to read the official rules as approved. the start date is now listed as 7/1/14 -/12/31/14.
The decision has been made not to require a build blog, but rather to encourage each of you to start one in the appropriate forum. If you rather post your updates here, that's fine. Having a separate build blog just makes it that much easier for everyone else to follow your build, as well as the general Aeroscale membership. The main thing is to build and complete your model(s) in the approved time frame.

I applaud your effort, seems that the threads I follow are getting fewer and farther in between. OTOH, I've finished more kits that build logs in the last 3 years.......

Mark, sad but true, as it seems to be the norm on Aeroscale since I joined. I must admit that I spend more time on ARC then here these days.

I will admit I'm more comfortable here than over at ARC or Modeling Madness, fewer representatives of the color police and rivet counting details...

Jessica, That's some collection. Love to see you build the FF-1 Goblin as one of your entries. Interesting that you have both the F3F-1 & F3F-2 1/48 scale Accurate Miniature kits. I'm planning on building as one of my Grumman entries the Accurate Miniature's F3F-1 kit.
Mark, I'm hoping that you'll decide to build the J2F-6 Duck, as I'm sure it will be the only one built for the campaign.

I also have the Duck, Gosling. Goose, Mallard and Albatross, but I think that one of those may be for the seaplane campaign instead.

Well.... I had focused on one of the propeller 'cats. Almost no rigging on them. I'd kinda like to actually finish something
on one of these campaigns.

Mark, we'll all help you stay focused on your build, so you finish the campaign and get a ribbon. Just build one model at a time.

Jessica, I'm starting to think that you "own" a rare airplane model hobby shop.

Does it count if I bought the shop it one kit at a time?

Kevin, welcome aboard, as I see you've signed up for the campaign. We don't start until 7/1/14, so you have a lot of time to finish current projects, and plan out your F6F-5 build. At this point, it sure looks like there will be more Hellcats then F14s. That's a surprise to me.

I was going to do two 1/48 scale builds, one was the Accurate Miniatures F3F-1, and the other the 1/48 scale Hasegawa F6F-3, but with all the Hellcats slated, think I just might do a 1/48 scale F4F-3 instead. Just don't know which kit I should buy.

How have I missed this!?
Being a massive fan of the 'cats' I'm in, now just need to work out what I'll build from the stash, 1/144, 1/72 or 1/48
Let me check my stash for the Grumman aircraft I haven't got as that will be quicker than counting what I have got
On the bench...
Italeri A129 Mangusta
British Bulldog Spitfire theme build
