It is unique, not one you often see anywhere. Never noticed the 56 tails notation before, I'll have to explore that tonight.......

I'd like to see the Seahawk built. It's not often you get to see a kit of them assembled, outside of the US battleship kits of the Iowa class that have them has single piece parts.

No joy on the "56 tails", unless it's a form of Czech currency. It's kit number 001 so it could be a production goof. The instructions sheet claims that only 57 units were built, don't don't know if that means anything or not.

I have been looking for an opportunity to build a seaplane for a while now.. I think I might attempt Revell's 1/72 Bv 222. Sound fair?

Well I've got a couple of those somewhere. Since I'm not doing any of those, I vote for the PBY-5A or the Kingfisher...

I'm sticking with the Seahawk.

BTW you gave me a start, I was afraid this got started in December and I wasn't ready....

Warren I have not seen the Revell 222 so I look forward to you build.
Mark sorry! I though it was time for a bump due to the start date being so far away.

I'd have to check that I'm not down for too many campaigns before I enlis,t but it sounds like a good one.
I have the Revell re-pop of Matchbox's Supermarine Stranrear in the stash.

A bit of inspiration for someone, I already built the 1/48 Revell kit and enjoyed the build

This 1:1 example was shot at Sunderland Airshow last year, it looked and sounded fantastic

Yeah, I think so, owned by PlaneSailing, it displayed both days and got as close to alighting on the sea as he could without actually touching down.
