I was going to do that, but after I got the canopy securely glued down I noticed that I had missed a spot. Rather than tear the canopy off and potentially ruin it, I decided that painting the outsides of the windows would be a simpler solution.

Progress report on the Globemaster - The fuselage is together, it took a lot of filling and sanding. The two halves of the fuselage join quite well, until you slot in the underside of the undercarriage area. The filling and sanding is compounded by a number of raised lines either side of the join, that will need reinstating before primer goes on.
The wings and the tail went on today, yet more filling required!

I was able to get a little more work done on my Tomcat but it has been the proverbial one step forward and two steps backward. I painted the fuselage in the right shade of gray and then painted the wing seal covers dark gray and masked and painted the bare metal for the engine covers. I was about to start decaling when the unpainted areas on the wings started to bug me. I am planning on having the wings swept back so this bare area would be hidden but I decided to not take the chance. I shot another coat of gray in the area where the primer is showing through and now I'll wait a week until this dries before I start the decal stage.

Hi there,
making slow but steady progress on my Valkyrie. So far no filling required, but I think at least a little sanding here and there won't hurt.
First I wanted to build her in flight in supersonic mode with the wingtips folded down, but in the end decided for the landing gear down. Maybe I let the wingtips partially hang down, there's a choice of three positions in the kit. Fitting so far is great.
I really recommend that kit.
Happy modeling!

Hello folks,
my Valkyrie starts to look more complete now. I have to finish the black anti-glare panel in front of the canopy, before I begin with the decals.

Ok, so I'm getting ready to start my Sweet Macchi C200AS for the campaign. Better late than never, I guess. Anyway, Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the instructions in English? I'm sure I'm missing some of the notes on the instruction sheet, and the Japanese is starting to make my head spin.

Hello friends,
got my Valkyrie finished and took some pictures before the final campaign gallery shooting.
All in all, it was fun and a very nice kit by Cyberhobby with some interesting fitting solutions. Nearly no problems with that build, only my tinsel painting...

Your Valkyrie looks great!! Even better, it is a NASA aircraft. Well done, I might need to pick up one of thee myself now that I have seen how nice they look finished.
Have fun modeling!

@Peter: your Valkyrie looks great. And I like your base, too. The pics on the glass table almost make it look like it's flying.
@Mike: good looking Tomcat.

Folks,
I've finally managed to get my butt in gear on the FA18D - ATARS bird. It took a while, but the camera bay has now been scratch built and added on to the lower nose section.
The photos may not be the best, but this is just a section of the lower forward nose. Hopefully, it will give you an idea of what the finished profile will be. At present,it is only covered in primer and future.
As always, any comments are welcomed........................ Bruce

That Valkyrie is sweet Peter, and Mike, your Tomcat looks great.
My F-16 has been finished for weeks, I just need to take the pictures and upload them before the campaign runs out! I've forgotten to do that twice on kitmaker in the last year

Into the home straight now, the main colour is on (looks exactly like the primer). The Globemaster is slightly tail heavy at the moment as you can see. Attaching the engines should (fingers crossed!) cure that. Revell's instructions didn't say anything about adding nose weight, and they normally do.

Lee, your Globemaster is coming along nicely.
Here is a little progress on my Macchi C200AS. Managed to get them both assembled, and waiting to go to the paint booth:
That brass thing in front of them is a set of Prop-blur 3-blade propellers. Hopefully, I'll be able to mount them so they look like they're in flight. Guess I should fill in the mounting holes for the landing gear.

Hi everyone
Here's a short update on my progress on the Tomcat build. Since my last post, I have done some weathering on the model along with some detail painting. Here is how it looks at this stage.
It looks really dirty in the photos, but to the eye it looks a lot better. While I was working on the last few steps, I also finished working on the weapons that this little kitty will carry. It was a challenge photographing these little bits, but here they are:

Well, since you asked so nicely Peter, here she is
I don't know why it looks so glossy in the pics, its not that glossy in real life
And one last pic to show a scale comparison - you might think that's a 1/32 Viper that its sat on, but its actually 1/48!

That is a great looking F-16! It is a great looking finish especially for such a challenging paint job. I see what you mean about the slight gloss, this may be coming from the flash or light system you are using to photograph the model.
This may be the first Trumpeter 1/144 F-16 kit that I have seen completed. Have you built any of the Revell kits yet? If so, how do they compare?
Have fun modeling!
