Finished, with only 4 hours to spare before I head to the airport for a trip to Europe! I should probably start packing now...

Some further very nice finishers! I must say that the F-14-lookalike is rather cool!
Finally finished all the markings I consider myself being able to paint on!

Will you be weathering the markings? Looks kinda weird with them all shiny and pristine

So I sprayed the medium blue basecoat yesterday. Note the blu-tac sausages to the left, hope to spray the dark blue tonight. Its going to be tight, but I think I might just squeeze in under the finishing line....

I HAVE to, but I haven't figured out exactly how yet...
Should have used more of an ebony /off-white colour instead...

Sorry for the delay in responding, been out of town.
Thanks for all the compliments, I'm very flattered. Lot of great builds going on. I'm almost glad about the extension just so I can keep checking up on new progress.

Nothing like a drop-dead date to spur me into action:
Blu-tac masks and dark blue paint sprayed...
Remove the masking, et voila!
Finishes Sunday, I won't be back at the bench till Thursday evening......gunna be tight!

Hi,
My Betty is almost finished but it needs more tweaking.
This old Hagasawa box is surly not up to current day standards but still nice to built, straight out of the box easy however I don't like the look of it so I scrach built a (not correct) interior just so it looked more realistic. Her belly houses a strong magnet so it stays fixed onto the metal stand.
After a primer coat (several layers actually) and a whole lot of sanding including the over done rivets I completely sprayed it in aluminum and added some preshading.
After a good layer of hairspray applied the 2 tone camo that has been used by the Takao Kokutai flying out of Clark Field in the Philippines April 1942, decals are from Techmod out of Poland and are lovely thin much better than the original thick and yellowish from the box,...
Yes I still want to remove some of the camo paint to reveal the aluminum and do some washes/oil paints to blend it all however I will not make it in short time so for the little bit of tweaking left to do I call it good for now.
So what about the Ohka, well that one is Finished!.
As it's so small I put it in a Swedish disgin picture frame with a Japanese WWII style flag back ground to hang it on the wall,.. I thought I was kind of appropriate.
Niel, thank you for the campaign and the fun

I love the mounting for that Okha, very stylish!
As for my F-2B, I'm going to have to raise the white flag unfortunately So many stencils. So, so many stencils
I spent about 4 hours decaling yesterday, and I'm not even halfway through. So, to the Hangar Queen thread it will be...
I will check back tomorrow to see who has sneaked under the finish line and award the (very stylish) ribbon.

Sorry friends, I'm throwing in the towel on this one! I won't make it tonight and I don't want to risk ruining anything because of hurrying!

Much as I want one of those cool ribbons, Its time to draw a line in the sand on this one.
Unfortunately, can't get into the gallery right now to check who finished as I keep getting error messages.

The whole site is undergoing some pretty major problems right now. Jim Starkweather is working hard on it and hopes it should be back up to speed very soon.

Congratulations to the 15 who finished. Ribbons have now been awarded.
Look for my F-2B to appear, finished, in the Hangar Queen thread in the next few days.
