John, thats a fine looking metal finish. The Kangaroo is coming alive!
Torsten, your Spitfire painting is perfect as always. The prop spinner with the white line around it is very sharp looking.
Ive gotten my P3C Orions painted.
I realize I havent touched them since October of last year. Now they are painted - I know from experience the model master enamel will require at least a week to cure before I can begin the decals.
This campaign runs to the end of February, still six weeks to finish.

I have made progress on mine I found that when I went to assemble the wings that the pylons would not line up so I had to extend the pivot to fix that. I then painted the inside and the engine fronts so I can glue the fuse together. I have however managed to lose the instrument panel and try as I might have not been able to find it. will continue with the rest and deal with that when I have to.
Cheers Rob.

I misplace parts on a regular basis, Rob. Patience is the key; the parts always seem to turn up without having to tear the room apart searching.
Interesting engineering on your model.

That's a beauty! the red and white wing leading edge adds just a dash of contrasting color. A very interesting historic model.

Nice job on the Spitfire Torsten
Decals have been applied to the Kangaroo. I am very impressed with the decals supplied in the kit, they went on easy and conformed to the panel lines witout using any decal setter.

Jeff, nice job with the Fanta Scheme on the MB326.
The Kangaroo is done! For some reason the photos look a bit yellow, I will take some better ones for the Campaign Gallery.
I enjoyed this kit, it’s my first completed resin kit and the first kit I’ve done in an all Alcald metal finish.

John,
Nicely done on the CA-15 Kangaroo
I have only tried Alclad once, and not successfully and I think looking at that I may have to take another go it.....
And that is WAY awesome for a full Resin Kit!
Still think it looks like a Mustang

Shorty, super job on the Skippy mate, I love it!
I've always wanted to have one of those in the display cabinet and looking at your build just makes me keener to find one now.
Cheers, D

The decals and finish are complete on the Orions.
one from RAAF 11th "Albatross" squadron, in out-of-the-box decals
and on from RAAF 10th "Chimera" squadron in Novascale decals.
Now just to paint and mount the landing gear and props, and paint the noses and exhaust pipe.

The very last step.
There are some very tedious tasks in this hobby of ours. painting and decal striping 32 propeller tips was pretty grueling, but its done.
The Orions will be finished today, I think. a few chores to do this afternoon, but the evening free.
