Great work guys I should complete some of mine but I'm already committed to a couple of four campaigns as it is that I need to get finished first. Keep them coming as I enjoy seeing the completed models and the obvious sense of satisfaction they produce.

Nice model PrickleHead, that was fast. What paint did you use for the "Navy Blue"?
Take care,

Well it was all of about 80% done and I was on vacation too so got in a few days of solid work. The Navy Blue was Gunze Aqueous 54 Navy Blue.

I needed to post an update to my progress since Michael is tempting me to join another campaign and the way this one is progressing I will be posting this one in next year's Hanger Queen VI Campaign. Anyways they have made it to the paint booth where they will be spending some quality time there for awhile. I am getting ready to paint the undersides. This was my Club Med entry, the dual kit from Sword (Battle of Malta Anniversary Kit).

At the beginning of the year I join the Hanger Queen campaign and at the end of the year I'm rushing to get it finished. Poor planning and too many other projects on the go. I have the gloss coat on my Avenger and should be starting decals tomorrow.

Lap Man, that is a fun looking kit. Any problems with the body/fuselage seams? It looks like if they were problematic, they'd be a real difficulty to clean up.

Calling the Avenger done. Still have a lot to learn but I'm happy with the finish on this one.

Cam - that looks great! I guess we all have alot to learn, but I'm hard pressed to see any flaws in the finish of that Avenger. What you say about the last weeks of the campaign is proven over and over, I do beleive most models get finished in these campaigns in the last month. Its certainly my most likely result

Lap Man - another fine finish and unusual subject.

In fact, I am racing to finish this model before the end of the month!

today I got the cheat line painted, poor job of masking will require considerable touch up, and also designed and printed decals.

This is the aircraft i am attempting to model -

Cam , I am not sure what 'look' you were aiming for, but from where I sit, you nailed it! Very nice finish.
A couple of the F15E's have been getting bench time and might squeak under the wire, but if not ... There will be a Hangar Queen again next year...

I have next week off. I'm either going to finish my Corsair or have a nearly completed model for 2016's Hanger Queen. I'm cutting it close.
Thanks,
Don "Lakota"

I made some small progress. Got some masking done and I'll put some paint on tomorrow. I'm using rattle can Tamiya AS-8 Navy Blue. The canopy mask is from Montex.

Take care,

Hi Michael,

If no one steped forward, i would like to host next year's HQ campaing.
2 reasons for my application:
1) get to finish one of my hangar queen projects at least;
2) push me back seriously into the hobby, something that i failed to do this year.

Cheers,
Pedro

With a couple of days left, I might get this F15E done as well.
If not, sign me up for next year.
