Daym, another campaign about to become a DNF. I'm 10,000 miles away from where I might have stashed my entry.

Looking at the aircraft list I don't see the McDonnell F101 Voodoo or the Northrup (Canadair) F5 listed. Are they still allowed or have they been ruled out.

What a wide field of fighter-bomber.
I like it.

@Bob, don't worry. I'm in Malaysia for the rest of this week. I'll be back home for a while. I know I've got a P-47 Razorback & bubble top in the pile there. The real problem is that I only get any real modeling done on the road. And it's heard to actually finish and transport the model home.

Darrell: the F-101 was developed as a nuclear fighter bomber for only a short period so it would be in the class so yes on the 101, but I could not find much on the CF5.

Now the real fun begins!
As soon as I finish my entry for the fork tailed devil campaign, I have 4 possibilities to start for this campaign, first up is the Revell re-release of the monogram P-47D Razorback, then I have an F-84E/G in 1:72 scale from Academy, as well as an Italeri Harrier GR.3 and a Testors F8F Bearcat, not sure if that last one qualifies, but if it does not, I'm not too bothered, that is still 3 possible entries.
Never know, I may end up building all 4 as I have quite a lot of time on my hands as I don't start my first proper job until September!

Simon, I am interested in yout 1/72 F-84. I am building the REVELL/MONOGRAM 1/48 F-84 and will see if I should have gone 1/72.

I've got the Academy 1/72 F-84E/G started somewhere. Not a bad kit. IIRC I added a lot of nose weight to be shure it wasn't a tail sitter. Not may fit issues on the fuselage. Wing was a bit different since there are different leading edge bits depending on version, that seemed to take a bit of filling and sanding.

Remember the whole fiasco with hitler asking if it could carry bombs which delayed its intoduction by several months.
I'm moving forward with the FJ4 Fury by Hobbyboss. The kit comes with Bullpup missles which the FJ4 couldn't use. They belong on the FJ4M. The Fury also needed an external guidence pod to use the missles. The M has 2 additional underwing hard points. In a nut shell I will add some iron bombs from the spares box. The dangers of a little research. I could have built it as is but that would have bothered me, AMS? Starting pictures tomorrow.

Well, I think it is high time I got started on this campaign
First victim!
I got the parts out of the first plastic bag so I could get a better picture of them, the upper wings were packaged separately, so they will remain like that until I need them.
Bob,
I am glad you are interested in one of my potential subjects/victims, that one is second on my list so once the jug is done, I will start work on that, so in a couple weeks or so, I should be good to go with the F84, after all, there are so many potential subjects in my stash at the minute that there is no way I am only building one model!

This one’s got a bomb on it and you can shoot down other planes with it, so I’m set to go.

@ Simon: I agree with your statement "so many kits/subjects and not enough time to enjoy/build"
@ John: [quote]This one’s got a bomb on it and you can shoot down other planes with it, so I’m set to go. [quote] that is funny i almost fell out of my chair.

From Wikipedia:
"... the role for the CF-5 throughout its service with the RCAF was changed frequently and eventually, the diminutive fighter would serve as a light attack strike fighter, reconnaissance platform and trainer."
It was used to drop things that go bang on people wearing green, so I'd say that it counts.
