Welcome to the WWII Fixed Gear Campaign!
The campaign will run from August 1, 2015 through February 1, 2016.

Thought i'd mention some lesser known Fixed Landing Gear aircraft that would fit into the WWII theme. Don't know if there are kits available for all of them but might be fun if your looking for something a little different.
Avia B-534: Used by Bulgaria on both sides of the war
Fokker D.XXI: Used by the Dutch Air Force at the start of WWII
PZL P.7: Old but Poland still had about 30 that were used during the defense of Poland
PZL P.11: used during the Defense of Poland
PZL.23 Karaś: Polands primary reconnaissance bomber
PZL P.24: Polish Export used by Romania during Operation Barbarossa and as a ground attack fighter through 1941

I wasnt really looking to join another campaign with so much already to do but I got a nice deal a couple years back for 3 Amtech Hs-123s and I've been looking for an excuse to dig into one. Its one of my favorite WWII aircraft so eventually I'd like one of the 3 to turn out really nice which leaves me 2 practice kits! Not sure which scheme I'll build, possibly generic markings on a worn white wash finish. Ive got these 2 books and the www for inspiration, sooooo lets see what happens!

First of all, welcome all of you in WWII Fixed Gear Campaign. Some nice builds are already on the way. We already have one the best known WWII fixed gear aircraft on the Ju-87 Stuka in beautiful desert scheme. And some unusual subject - Soviet I-5 (btw nice work CBacon84). Mike is building HS-126 – one of the most beautiful biplanes (Sesquiplane?). I hope that many other will join shortly and we going to have a nice campaign with a lot of build finished.

Kit is in production for about 30 yrs and now it is being sold my Mirage Hobby. This aircraft has a very nice 3 color painting scheme. I am also going to use Part photoetched set for this kit. Kit itself has a lot of problems, which mostly I will leave untouched. But it still looks like a Lublin R-XIII and it is still the best R-XIII model you can get

The PE parts are so tiny in the FLY kit I am genuinely afraid of inhalating them.

Well here is my hat in the ring for the fixed gear of WWII Campaign, the Worlds top fighter, the CR32 ... in 1936! This will be built out of the box; what other way for me? Lots of filing, filling, scraping, sanding and more sanding in the days ahead. Nice silver paint scheme though for the Austrian version as depicted on the box.

Progress today on the SMER Austrian CR32. I have to apply some Tamiya filler and sand the lower wing joint, fuselage and tail joints next. The kit has a small parts count but it is like assembling a wooden kit from the 1950's except the fit is not as close. I have the Super model 1/72 Fiat CR32 which looks to be a better fitting kit but why not build the 1/50 version and see what can be made of it. I'm having fun and not sweating the details too much.

Hi everybody!
This campaign looks surprising with all the entries of exotic and uncommon birds.
Nice chioces and progresses so far.
Since the paint of my Me 262 have to cure I checked my stash for something that fits here s well. There I found an acient Pyro kit...
So my option will be a 1/48 Bristol Bulldog in service of the Finnish Air while the "Winterkrieg" in 1940.

Can I join in with my Italeri Stuka. It's been an awfully long time since Ive been on kitmaker and at the bench. Hopefully might be able to make a start on it over the next week with in progress pics. Will be finishing it in the box art scheme of Stab III/ StG77- Bulgaria, April 1941 still undecided about having the engine on show though. Hence not starting just yet as will need to add some detailing to the engine if I have it exposed and not too sure if Im fully back in the modelling mindset as yet
