Everybody is faster than me... or are you guys watching the display all day? Unless you are careful with that you will get heads like this
Yes the destination of the Hungarian Atlantic flight was Budapest, but the crew did not manage to reach it, they landed at Bicske (a small town about 70kms from Budapest to the West).
Yah, and I don't know the doggee. Sorry.

LOL! - I kind of get the feeling that Daring Dogs aren't exactly top of everyone's reference lists! Have I actually foiled the dreaded Google-search?
I'll let this question run until tomorrow morning (my time) and, if no-one's come up with the answer by then, I'll put you all out of your misery and replace it with a nice, straightforward, wingy one. :-)
All the best

Hi Steve
No - it wasn't 'Eight-ball' - but well done for a logical guess. In fact the dog's name was much more mundane - "Rusty".
Rusty was aquired by 1/Lt Robert C. Peterson and often flew on Captain Hughes' 44 BG B-24D "Avenger". Apparently the dog even had its own oxygen mask!

Hi again
Time for an easy question, methinks!
Name 3 components and their sources that were used in the XP-75 Eagle prototype.

The original concept called for use of proven airframe components such as P-40 wing panels, A-24 tail, and F4U landing gear--to reduce the design and testing period.
I actually built the old Rare-Planes kit many many many moons ago.

Hi Dave
That's a bit more like it - a correct answer in the time it takes for me to get to work!
The Fisher Eagle would look awesome in 1/48 scale - maybe Czech Model will bring one out one day as part of their range of unusual US aircraft such as the Black Bullet and Ascender.
Over to you for the next question...

Correct Merlin.......
" Only one XP-13 (S/N 29-453) was built. The "Viper" was designed for the Curtiss H-1640-1 "Chieftain" engine and initially flew with it. Serious cooling problems with the twin-row in-line radial engine could not be overcome and the XP-13 was converted to the XP-13A after an engine change (Pratt & Whitney R-1340-9) and a vertical fin redesign. The XP-13 fuselage was constructed of a metal framework with a corrugated aluminum skin giving the aircraft a very unique appearance."
the XP13-A

Oh I know I'm not Merlin, but don't tell anyone..... :-) :-)
Actually he asked if I would watch this for him as he's away for the Holidays, and has limited web access.
Here's the link he provided with/about the answer for all interested:

Spot on Fred. I had never even heard of this plane untill i started looking for Rowans missile. Now a model of this would be kind of cool.
