1:48 He 51 Floatplane (1:48)
Modelimex have released sprueshots of Special Hobby's attractive new 1:48 kit of the He 51B-2(W) floatplane fighter.

Gunsmith are a new company from Russia. Along with a selection of finely detailed 1:35 figures, animals and miliary vehicle tyres which can be seen on Armorama, they have released a pair of 1:48 Soviet pilots, plus a dog that can obviously fit into a multitude of airfield scenes. Amazingly, the beautifully detailed dog is in 1:72!
CMK have sent us details of their latest releases. There's a fine selection of 1:72 upgrades, including a 4-set overhaul of Academy's Fighting Falcon superdetailing the kit inside and out, while from Planet Models there's a really exciting full resin kit of the Aero A-304.
HPH 1/32 Arado Ar 196 (1:32)
HPH Models look like they may just beat Revell in releasing a large scale Arado Ar 196. This limited edition kit is mainly resin and the casting looks superb. Most of the casting and PE sheets are made in house although the superb looking machine guns are made by Master, a company well known for their turned guns.
1/72 Avro Lancaster B Mk II (1:72)
CMR have released details of the forthcoming release of their Lancaster B Mk II powered by Bristol Hercules engines. There will be a choice of three different conversion sets issued by CMR depending which kit you have:
- CMR-164 designed for the Airfix Lancaster B I/III.
- CMR-164A designed for the Revell Lancaster B I/III.
- CMR-164B designed for the Hasegawa Lancaster B I/III.
Eduards September release sees the Avia B-534 IV make its appearance as a Weekend edition kit.

AZ Models have released photo's of the masters for their forthcoming release of the Mitsubishi C5M / Ki-15 Babs. The Ki-15 was the army designation for the Babs, while the navy designated it C5M. No date so far on the release of the two kits, but we will let you know as soon as we have it.

1/32 Revell Arado AR196 A-3 (1:32)
Revell have released test shots of their new Arado AR196 A-3. As you can see from the photos Revell have included many features that we associate with this scale, such as detailed cockpit, engine and engine bay. There is also the added bonus of folding wings and the choice of two propellers. The panel lines look nicely done as does the representation of the fabric surfaces. Not being a Luftwaffe expert I will leave you more knowledgeable folk out there to judge whether this is going to be a hit or not, but bare in mind these are test shots.

Shull24.com has released these resin renditions of the rear end of the F110-GE-129. These engines for the F-15 supply the Air Forces of the Republic of Korea [F-15K], Singapore [F-15SG] and Saudi Arabia [F-15S]. There are no PE components in this set. The flame holder is made from tougher resin so even though it is a delicate casting it will tolerate light handling.

1/72 Kinetic F-16D Block 52+ (1:72)
News from Lucky Models is that Kinetic models new release of the F-16D Block 52+ (Polish Air Force / Hellenic Air Force) Fighting Falcon is now available. Do we need another F-16? Well yes, this version is very different from your usual F-16's and the camouflage pattern will make it stand out from the usual F-16 camouflage scheme.

New release from 4+ publications is this combined book and decal sheet for the Me 210/410. Designed in accordance with the "Zerstörer" (heavy fighter-bomber) concept just prior WWII, the Me 210 was, however, a failure in terms of flying characteristics. Following extensive modifications, its successor, the Me 410 Hornisse (Hornet), was produced in substantial numbers and many variants and saw operational service in Italy and North Africa, and over Germany and Central Europe. The improved Me 210 was also licence-built in Hungary.
Loon Models is a subsidiary to Roll Models.com. Loon Models manufactures resin 1:32 'Master Series' Correction / Conversion / Detail Sets have mostly been armour related subjects. This (LO32006) and its sister set LO32007 are resin parts applicable to Roden's 1:32 Siemens Schuckert D.III. Set LO32006 backdates the kit to the earliest production issues first release for front line operations and testing to JG II in 1918.
AZ models have released sprue shots and box covers of their forthcoming releases of the Hawker Hurricane MkIV. The MkIV saw the last major change to the Hurricane, which was the introduction of the universal Wing, a single design able to mount two 250 lb or 500 lb (110 or 230kg) bombs, two 40mm (1.57in) Vickers S guns, drop tanks or eight 60 pound RP-3 rockets. Two .303in Brownings were fitted to aid aiming of the heavier armament.
No 12 in the ‘From the Cockpit’ series considers the legendary Sea Fury, the Royal Navy’s fastest and most effective single-engine, piston-powered aircraft, and one that even today continues to enthral both pilots and spectators in its regular flying displays.
Sky-High have released one of my favourite helicopters, the Mil Mi-2 NATO named Hoplite. This small and attractive helicopter is lightly armoured, but could pack a punch as it could be armed with 57mm rockets and a 23mm cannon when used for close air support. First introduced in 1965, the Hoplite has been also used in it's time as a civil aircraft. It looks like there are markings for eight aircraft.

Modelimex have published details A-Model's re-released Polikarpov I-17 - the in-line engined successor to the famous I-16. First flown in 1934, the I-17 was eventually cancelled depite its initial promise.

Modelimex have released details of Special Hobby's new Nakajima Ki-115 kamikaze aircraft.
As most of you will probably know that a new Hungarian company, KP Models, plans to re-issue many if not all of the kits made by Kopro Prostejov Models. Modelimex are to stock the new brand. KP Models, will use old plastic parts from Kopro Prostejov, but all models will have new boxes, new decals and instructions. These models should have been on sale during June, 2010, but the date has been set back to late August, 2010
1/72 Thulin Type E (1:72)
In 1915, the Swedish Army asked for tenders for a new reconnaissance aircraft of biplane type. Dr Enoch Thulin offered his own design, type E, with 90 hp Thulin A engines. Four aircraft were ordered and used for neutrality watch at the Fortress of Boden in the north of Sweden. However, they were found unsatisfactory for this purpose and used for training duties.

A-Model have released a short run injected plastic kit of this very large bi-plane. The AN-3 is basically a turboprop powered development of the An-2. Despite the aged look of this aircraft the An-3 first flight was in 1991. There are two sets of markings as well as a small sheet of photo etched parts.

F-RSIN Plastics plastics have released this superb looking injected plastic kit of the Bréguet Br.763 Deux-Ponts. The Breuget Deux-Ponts [ double decker] was a cargo and passengers aircraft that was operated between 1953 and 1972 . Its name comes from the fact that it can accommodate passengers on two decks a feature that would be utilised later in the Airbus A380. There are 4 separte releases in the following liveries:

AZ Models have announced a number of future releases of the Mig 17 including the Chinese derivative, the Shenyang F-5. There have been interesting users of the Shenyang F-5 including 4477th "Red Hats" Test and Evaluation Squadron of the United States Air Force. So hopefully if AZ don't come up with some interesting decals, some of the after market decal companies will.
New 1:144th scale release from Welsh models is the Douglas Super DC-3S Dakota in Capitol Airlines livery.
Kits-world have announced the release this September of a multi scale decal sheet of Kill Markings in 1:72, 1:48, 1:32 Scale. They cover Allied aircraft of the European and Pacific theatres in WWII. Symbols include downed aircraft as well as anti tank and shipping strike symbols. Aircraft included are Spitfire, Hurricane. Typhoon, Hellcat, Mustangs and Thunderbolts.

Due to the recent death of one of the partners at Aeroclub a necsessary restructuring has taken place. While some stock is being burned off at e-bay one need kit looms on the horizon. The long awaited Aeroclub 1:48 Sopwith Pup (9901) appears to be almost ready to produce.
PT Decals have announced some intriguing news concerning the release of a 1/32 B-25 kit with French markings. It seemed a strange coincidence that a couple of months ago Windscale a Dutch company announced the future release of a 1/32 injected moulded Mitchell see here.
