Continuing my involuntary news focus on WWII bomber decals at the moment, Iliad Designs have released this interesting set of decals for a mix of camouflaged and natural metal finished aircraft. The Marauder has always been one of my favorite WWII subjects purely because of the really interesting range of finishes and it's great name for a combat aircraft. Not to much detail on the markings I am afraid.

Eduard have released the August edition of their magazine-style Newsletter.

Well not really, but Aires well known for their excellent resin detailing sets, now have an offshoot company 'Wheelliant'. No they are not going to produce replica cars [Relaint], or that is what sprung to my mind when I first saw the announcement on the Aires website. They are going to produce very detailed wheel sets for aircraft in 1/32 and from what I have seen so far, I think they will sell very well. The lettering looks a little heavy on the side walls, but nothing that cannot be adjusted with a sanding stick.

Master Details from U.S.A. are running a superb masterclass on correcting the 1:32 Trumpeter F-100D Super Sabre. The standard of modelling by Steven Frank is fantastic, and the techniques he demonstrates will be useful for aircraftt modelling projects of all types.

Cyber Hobby’s Orange Box line continues with another 1/48 scale aircraft, in the form of a Junkers Ju88A-4, along with a set of Luftwaffe Ground Crew.

Impatient at the pace of sales for the Eurofighter around the world, 4+ Publications have released under their series of monographs on aircraft 'Mark 1 guide', Eurofighter Typhoon 'what if colours and markings'.

Resin Art continue the release of some very fine resin sets. This time there are two sets for the US Navies F9F-8 Cougar and F9F-2 Panther, both built by Grumman.

The fourth excellent looking decal sheet of the quartet released by Afterburner Decals at this years IPMS Nationals in Phoenix, Arizona. As with the other releases the team from Afterburner Decals will describe their own product:

Wolfpack Designs have released a conversion set to modify the 1/32 Tamiya F-16 into F-16E Block 60 aircraft serving the Air Force of the United Arab Emirates.

One of my favorite jet aircraft of all time, and with these particular decals some of the fiercest looking Phantoms ever. Sheet covers the F-4Es and Gs of the 3rd TFW, Clark AB. Eras include the early 80s through Desert Storm, SEA, SEA wrap, lizard and Hill schemes. Wing and Squadron flagships in all schemes, 3rd TFS and 90th TFS in Hill and Lizard schemes. AMS Resin announces new AH-1W FOD covers in 1/35 for Academy/Italeri kits. Continuing their line of FOD covers, these new AMS additions will look great on the Academy AH-1W.

Anigrand Craftworks will be releasing two 1/144th scale multi engined kits.
The German Junkers Ju.352V-2 Herkules and the Japanese Nakajima G8N-1 Renzan should both be available in August.

A new release from Omega Models and I must admit I knew absolutely nothing about this aircraft before the release by Omega Models, but looks a handsome beast. Resin with vac-formed canopies and turrets. Not a cheap kit though.

LF Models have released a couple of decal sheets for aircraft of the Spanish Air Force. The first is the Dornier Do 27B-4 and the second is for the Cessna 0-1E Bird Dog. LF Models have what I think is a great idea in that they also sell paste jewellery. So if you are feeling guilty about buying yet another kit or decal sheet, order something for your better half as well.

Well a very pleasant surprise for me was discovering these two future releases from Resin Art. They have announced the impending release of a resin detail sest for the cockpit and exterior of the Academy Hawker Tempest Mk V, for me one of the best looking fighters of WWII.
