I must say that there is a few things about the Eduard/Hasegawa Limited Edition A-4 E/F kit that is really bothering me, and that's that Eduard has held back two important Brassin AM parts from the kit. The original Hasegawa release had a rather vague and just so so detailed wheels by todays standards, and a really non-detailed intake through exhaust sub assembly. Eduard has molded two different wheel sets, one for each variant, with exceptional detail especially with the brakes and molded caliber brake lines. And the exhaust nozzle which really is a major step up from what Hasegawa supplies with the kit. As I said, Eduard has decided not to include any of the 3 Brassin parts with the kit, but instead is more then willing to sell them separately. The Wheels have a MSRP of $10 and Sprue Brothers is selling them for $8.99, and the exhaust nozzles has a MSRP of $15 and once again Sprue Brothers is selling them for $13.49. Usually I would just go ahead and order the AM parts, but in this case the Hasegawa kit MSRP is $38.00 and retails for $30.49. So adding in both AM parts now drives up a basically $30 kit to $95.97. $60.48 over the original price. And to be honest about it, what I'm getting is just the getting old Hasegawa kit with is fit issues, not a state of the art Eduard kit. And all they've added to the Hasegawa kit is a new ejection seat, two PE frets for the cockpit but no other cockpit details, and a Cartograf decal sheet that doesn't contain but the bare min. of stencils. In the foreseeable future I highly doubt that I'll build another Scooter, so having 5 more aircraft options rather then a more complete set of stencils would not have been the direction I would have gone. As an example Academy offers just one decal option in their excellent F-4 series with a complete stencil sheet. There is dozens and dozens of AM decals to choose from if you want a specific aircraft. To say that I'm more then just disappointed in the direction that Eduard seems to be going would be an understatement. I've already purchased the kit from Sprue Brothers, but won't be buying the other AM parts. Joel
