Over the next few days Eduard is releasing details of the marking options for the August 1/48 scale limited edition release of the long range P-51D Mustangs

Very long range: Tales of Iwojima
Limited Edition kit of 1/48 scale P-51D focused on aircraft from 15th FG, 506th FG, 21st FG that flew so-called Very Long Range missions from Iwojima to Japan. The kit is going to be released in August under cat. no. 11142. We are introducing the marking options focused on aircraft from 506th FG:
●P-51D-20, 44-72587, flown by 2nd Lt. William G. Ebersole / 2nd Lt. James R. Bercaw, 462nd FS, 506th FG, 20th AF, Iwojima, July 1945,
●P-51D-20, 44-72579, flown by Capt. J. B. Baker Jr., 458th FS, 506th FG, 20th AF, Iwojima, July 1945,
●P-51D-20, 44-72570, flown by Lt. Ralph S. Gardner / 2nd Lt. Chester Jatczak, 457th FS, 506th FG, 20th AF, Iwojima, June/July 1945.
