March will see the return of some Eduard favourites in new guises. For WW1 enthusiasts, there's the Fokker D.VII in a spectacular Sieben Schwaben Limited Edition, while WW2 modellers can look forward to the popular Fw 190A-8 re-released with brand new markings, plus the I-16 Type 24 in a simplified Weekend Edition with just a single markings option.
As usual, there's a healthy variety of etched sets and masks planned, including a super-detail set for Eduard's own 1/32 scale Bf 109E-1 which arrived this week and is reviewed HERE.

Hi Rowan thanks for bringing us the news as you are close with the staff at Eduard I wanted to know what the new markings will be(sadly not clickable yet on Eduards site) and why the price of the "Sieben Schwaben" Fokker D.VII issue is that high ... it is listed 55$ on Eduards march Pdf list ...??? all the best Steffen

Hi Steffen I'm afraid I can't help there, because I don't have any extra details myself beyond this info taken from Eduard's regular e-mail to editors. I'll see if I can find out more next week, but hopefully those images will be clickable by then and we'll all know the answer (I've filled the gaps with scans from the 2009 catalogue). All the best Rowan

now we know what's in the Fw 190A-8: http://www.eduard.cz/info/photos/8173/index_.php Salffners machine might be the most interesting in the batch ... nothing in it for me sadly or luckily for my budget. cheers Steffen

Yeah, I agree with you, Steffen. White 6 and Black 10 are the only really interesting ones and believe Black 10 is already included in decals in one of the Kagero books, so that does not bring that much new options to the hobby. The FW 190 Master class would be much more attractive and better value for money in my opinion. But if Eduard can make money on re-releases, fine with me

I want the Seven schwabeins but $55.00 is rich for my blood it's a 1/48th scale re release not a new tool kit if it was 1/32nd i might understand my 2 cents .

Hi Doug totally agree and now Eduard has released the product info: http://www.eduard.cz/info/photos/1139/ and it is clear there are no further goodies included, just the "Huge decal sheet". Of course the full Lozenge is nice and if Eduard has improved their Lozenge (they swaped two colours in the initial kit) it might be o.k for some buyers ... I still think this is rip off. Good luck to Eduard selling this kit! Also new is product info on the I-16 type 24: http://www.eduard.cz/info/photos/8468/ all the best Steffen

Thanks Steffan Has the lozenge been redone ? i also noticed that the PE sets has on it Fokker DVII OAW is this set a new dedicated set for an OAW Fokker ? Or a repop of the generic fokker PE that is included in every Fokker kit they produce ? The price is high for a basic reissue kit Don't get me wrong Eduard products are great but to but reissue a kit and charge $20.00 extra for decals is not good business in my opinion.
