1⁄35Three Years and a BF-110 G-2
Wrap-up |
I’m happy with the outcome of this
model. It’s a nice addition to my collection and the next G-2 I build will have the big wasp motif on the nose. This model, as hinted earlier, was started quite some time ago. So my theory about the use of pre-shading and “tonal
painting” (had to get that in-that’s my name for my technique. I’ve seen writers give names to techniques before, sort of claiming the first
use) but mine hadn’t developed sufficiently so is not in full evidence here. I have found that I need far better lighting in my spray booth to be able to know when enough is enough. When I do get it right, in my opinion, it does add a certain something. I will try and get my article on pre-shading finished so you can maybe try it for yourselves. The article was waiting for the completion of the 3 Amigos (the 3 109s I’m building for the Luftwaffe group build) but, for reasons outlined above, and the fact that I had a few problems with my airbrush, they don’t do a good job of showing off the outcome.
