Decals |
Applying decals is a subject in it’s own right and has been covered on the forums and is beyond the scope of this article. I am happy to discuss it, though, if you wish but I don’t have any magic formulas or revelations.
Apply the decals of your choice using setting solutions. Once all the decals are on and dry, wipe off the decal setting solution residue with a cloth soaked in clean water. Dry off the model so you don’t get watermarks. Apply another coat of Klear. The first two were to protect the paint from the coming wash and to provide a smooth gloss coat for the decals. This final coat is to further protect the paint, to protect the decals and to level off the surface with the decals. If you feel it’s necessary apply another coat of Klear, if the decals are particularly thick, for example.
