Cartoon Chuck and giant penny Abe are my new favorite odd couple! The colour PE looks great. But your certainly right that it does has limitations.

Thanks so much, gents! I've got to get this baby done so I can head for a nice holiday in Greece- Thanks, Dimitrios!
I'm trying something with that radio, but in the meantime thought I'd crack into the wings. It's been a busy week, so I only got one done... take it away, Lil' Chuk!

This thread just gets better and better. It is turning into a work of pure genius, way beyond anything I could even dream about attempting. It makes the 4 hours I have just spent trying to get an old Airfix Mosquito to even resemble an aircraft seem pointless, but in a good way.
I continue to take inspiration from this work, I love the way the thread is put together, it is hugely entertaining, I just wish we could have updates every day, but then I guess it would be over all too soon
Steve

maybe if we all make donations we can get chuck on a salary here, he can quit his day job, and entertain us with his awesomeness every day!
anyway, that's amazing and inspiring stuff chuck, and thank you for going so in depth with it!

Hi Chuck
Simply wonderful work! We definitely need to start planning how to run this as a Feature article - probably a series of Features - to store your build permanently on Aeroscale. It'll be an inspiration for years to come!
All the best

Chuck,
I am sure you are busy, and I sorely miss your posts, but you must know that Giant Penny Abe has escaped. He is busy hogging attention on page 21 of the 2008 Great Scale Modeling, featured not once but twice!!

WOW! Your attention to detail is amazing. Also the way you have your thread going with the detailed pics and your great sense of humor, this is such a treat to watch you buld and a big inspiration for my own projects. You explain things really well and are so easy to follow.
I havn't been able to get into my modeling for about the last year but I am sure going to try this year to get started again. I came across your thread and can't take my eyes off of it
Thanks so much and great modeling,
Wayne

My thanks, friends!
I'm back! Work has been exciting- and quite busy as of late. Ah well- it could be worse- I mean, I am getting paid to draw semi-naked chicks with big guns! No, really!! Anyway, I have managed to get some modeling time in here and there- here's a recap of the past month:

Chuck,
Your posts are great not just for the specifics of this model build, but also to show the value of paying attention to detail. This is truly an awesome build and I appreciate you and Abe taking the time to share it with us all.

Hi Chuck
Wonderful stuff!
We're seriously going to have to start planning how to run this build as a Feature article (or series of articles!). With the detailed captions on every picture, it's unlike anything we've had before, so maybe the slide-show effect for Content photos would work a treat for it... Hmmm.
Perhaps you should draw a cartoon of a Merlin with his thinking cap on!
All the best
