Hi Andy
I'll really interested to see how the Albatros goes. Thanks for the link to the blunt syringe tips - very useful.
All the best

Rowan
Thanks Rowan
Anything thats helps,
If you remove the plastic you get 45mm of tube ,times that by 20,thats 900mm of tube for £2.60,not bad me thinks

I ordered 20 green and 5 each of all the other colours.
As for the Albatros,I'm going to go for a part covered aircraft,,ie one side of the fuselage covered, the tops ,and maybe the bottom of the wings on the same side,I've ordered the 1/16 gun set from Toms, and I'm looking into some scale nuts and bolts in brass for the engine to replace the white metal ones supplied with the kit ,need to find a nice colourful paint job for it!
Cheers
Andy

My order from the HJL Tamiya sale arrived yesterday Not happy that I had to pay a customs fee though

actually I was happy to pay the tax a it was only £7, it was the £13.50 Handling charge that Parcel Farce slapped on it. I wouldn't mind but all they did is stick a couple of stickers on the box and supposedly send me a letter to inform me of the charges (which I never received) How can that cost £13.50

I only got the parcel released from the depot when I chased it up with Parcel Force and paid over the phone.
Any way rant over I'm happy with what I got and even with the additional charges and shipping it still worked out cheaper than buying the kits in the UK

Think I'll order from Lucky Model in future at least they give the option of plain boxes and mark the customs declaration as a gift

Very nice Terri. There seems to be a thing for 190's at the moment. Perhaps Rowan and J-L have started something ??
Anyhoo, 3 identical sets of wheels arrived today, one for my current P-61 build for the Pin-Ups Campaign, and 2 for the other 2 in the stash!!

Hi all, smeeee again. A little

, but still relevant. We have ANZAC day coming up this Sunday 25th, and my Grandfather and his brother were both Gallipoli ANZAC's, so it's an important day on my calendar.
My wife came home from the shops with this yesterday . . . .

Once I demolish the contents the tin will sit nicely close by the workbench.

Cheers Nick
If I had known how much more refined the Bronco kit is, I would not have bought the Trumpy Single seater. (both kits apparently stem from the same data ... actually I have heard it is possible to switch parts!! but the Bronco is so much better detailed)

That's a really nice book but if you want the ultimate F-14 Walk round I would highly recommend Danny Coremans uncovering the Grumman F-14 A / B & D books from Daco products I have used it more for references than any of my other F-14 Books (and there's plenty of them)
If you look at
Daco's website it gives you and overview of the book and they also do a DVD with additional photos and 2hours of video when Danny was on board the USS Theodore Roosevelt.

Hi all,
This is what I got from HLJ lately. Most kits are from the Tamiya sale...

I have placed two separate orders and I was lucky since the parcels did go through the customs unnoticed...

Awesome! I could do with a few friends like that!

I wonder if I know anyone on the Island with a degassing chamber or a computer-controlled lathe they don't want...
