Hi there
An exciting package arrived form France today! Thank you Jean-Luc!
I'll get on with reviewing the samples asap, and I'm looking forward to trying out the White Courtrai for speeding up the drying time for oils and, perhaps, enamels too...
All the best

Hi Rowan,
I'm happy that the parcel arrived safely. And I'm also happy that the Courtrai Drier didn't flooded all the content!

Hi Steffen
Sadly, no such drunkenness here (any more than usual, at least ) - it's just an ordinary Thursday for most people in Blighty.

Hi Tim
I reckon this must be it, from Pacific Travel Guides:
" Who hasn’t spent time in rush hour traffic dreaming of leaving their real life and moving to the island of Fiji? If you haven’t packed your bags yet, set aside May 13 as a day to celebrate like a native Fijian. Rotuma Day is an annual celebration on the island of Rotuma, a Fijian dependency. The holiday celebrates the anniversary of the island’s cession to the United Kingdom in 1881.... Rotuma Day is celebrated all over."
Actually, I think it's Ascension Day too.
All the best

Rowan is right and it is a free day here in Germany. Actually it got a slight transformation in usage as "fathers day".

Hi Steffen
Really?! I think that's the opposite of what Jim's intended with his latest changes. I'll flag it up in the Staff thread.

Hi Steffen
Well, it's a long time since I did Latin at school, but I think that's something along the lines of "He who drinks well goes to Heaven!" - that's certainly what we'd have tried to argue it meant anyway!
All the best
Rowan Hic!

Yeah and the proof is:
qui bene bibit, bene dormit
qui bene dormit, non peccat
et qui not peccat venit in caelum
ergo qui bene bibit venit in caelum

Ooops... sorry I had left this forum's expire time at 5 seconds instead of 3600 (1 hr). It should be working properly now.

Hi Rowan and Steffen
It must be Rotuma day here also. Did not realise it has a public holiday here in France. Turned up at the market this morning not a soul to be seen. Could not understand what was going on. Now I know!

My order from RB Productions arrived today in the mailbox: Rivet-R Mini plus the extra wheels for it and the Scribe-R.
That Hasegawa Bf 109 currently on the workbench looks like a prime candidate to try the riveting tool on. Some careful measuring from drawings to do...

And the box shows a kind of shock wave damage - obviously happens when dropping bombs while flying too slow and low...
Congrats to your haul.
Cheers

Hi Tim
at 15 Euro it is still quite good (judging from Neil's review).
Thanks for the compliment! Totally forgot that I sent the Hurricane to J-L as a FotoFeature too, so here is another pic with the appropriate logo on it:
cheers
