These two somehow followed me home from the annual Model Expo last weekend:
I've had the intention of getting a Panzer IV Ausf.J for quite a while and that new Dragon kit being released was just the right excuse to finally get it. Looks like I'm facing my first zimmerit coating...
That Focke-Wulf was more of an impulse buy, but it was on discount. Could that really be resisted with a 20€ price tag?

368pcs of love in a box.The kit is very cleanly done the molds are empressive.I just wish they would have put vinyl tires in it like there f-14s it cost enough
Build On,
Justin
P.S. as soon as I get a few campaigns and current F-14A build out of way I will do a build log maybe review on the kit.

So I popped to the LHS today to get a jar of XF-65 Flied Grey and came away with this lot
Eduard 1/48 US Seat belts x2
Eduard 1/48 IJN Seat belts
Eduard 1/48 IJA Seat belts
Quickboost 1/72 P-61B Gun barrels
Quickboost 1/48 P-51 Exhausts
Quickboost 1/48 P-51 Tail Wheel well
Loon 1/48 P-47C Cowling
Loon 1/48 P-47D SAR Conversion
Sky Models 1/48 Thunderbolt Part I Decals
Revell 1/144 B737-800 (choose this as I'm a fan of Haribo sweets)
a Jar of Tamiya XF-65 Field Grey
It turns out that the LHS now has a trade account with Hannant's, so I placed the order through them and as the future mother in law is the manager I was charged a little less than the suggested retail

I received the Italian F-104 decal sheet made by Skymodels toady, ordered at Hannants
http://www.misterkit.com/catalog/images/SKY-D72062.jpg
The bag was perfectly sealed and "Please do not bend" was written on it. The postman bent it to make it enter in the mailbox...
No damage, luckily, but the next time I'll be compelled to write "do not bend" in Italian too!

Nice haul!!
@ Justin: Well, Hasegawa is known for there yellow decals and a kit that old would be a 100% bet that these are crap ... if you really bought it just for the decals you better would have invested your money in an AM decal set.
@Paul: can't do much wrong with BigT products, do you.
all the best

Hi Justin
That's too bad and I understand your try with the old kit ... but as I wrote Hasegawa = yellow decals (except when they have outsourced these to Cartograf ... there are a few kits).
I got this today from Luckymodel:
you can build the tricycle and one other (short or two types of long tractors) still waiting for the fire engine..
all the best

If the decals have yellowed, a few days in the sun will fix them

Lets see what the postman brought to me today:
He 111 H-6 by Revell of Germany (its Hasegawa's kit reboxed) in 1:72 and Eduards PE detail interior set for the same kit. This will be a follow up to the 1:73 P-61B that I just finished and inspired by Eetu's stunning build for the bomber campaign.
And some much needed tools. Fine tip tweezer, sanding sticks, Tamiya painting stand, loctite glue and a micro chisel (heard many good things about this one).
Cheers,
Hermann.

Today was a Lucky-Day as I got 3 parcels from Luckymodels (it is cheaper to buy them separately than combine them into one shipment (and I am not including the advantage of passing customs in most cases).
The Hawkeye Crew Entry details set (Hamilton Hobbies) arrived yesterday. Perfect service from Southern Sky Models, but I am a bit disappointed by the casting quality (LOTS of air bubbles) ... hope there is not that much seen of it in there. OTOH this is garage production and I am happy to have it.
