... I suppose it's for my new born son Jonas and not for me!
Hi Jean-Luc
Well, if Steffen manages to snap a photo of you wearing a Winnie The Pooh romper suit at next year's Nürnberg Toy Fair, I'll know I definitely bought the wrong size!
Congratulations to you and your wife once again. It's great to see Vincent and Jonas together.
All the best

Hi all,
Thank you for your kind words.
Jonas and his mother are fine. They should return home tomorrow... and no, I didn't tried the Winnie suit as I knew right away it wasn't my scale!

Congrats Jean-Luc !!
I finally took the plunge and bought a spare airbrush:
I'll use this Iwata eclipse HP-CS for general paint jobs and rely on my HP-C+ for finer detail lines and cammo. Besides the AB, I also got a much need tube of Squadron's green putty and a container of Promodeller's light dirt wash.
Hermann.

Hi Evgenij
Nice haul! And, if you're up for it, it'd be great to have a Review of the X-15.
All the best

Today I got this from customs...
when opening the box it left a strong smell of nitro-cellulose thinners ... not a very good sign IMO, but the stuff looks very good....
all the best

Visited a LHS after a while:
Restocked my tape stash (ie. one roll of each width in reverse to avoid any abrupt shortages). The Bf 109 exhausts are going to get installed on the Ardpol VL Pyörremyrsky (well, when I get around actually building that). That CMK interior set for the Italeri Hawk was kind of an impulse buy, but looks like well worth the money. The black wash I bought from another shop as I was starting to run low on my current bottle.

Just in is this little cutie:
and while I was waiting for the server change to complete I started it right away ... shall be a funny little kit.
Impulse buy ... yeah I know such stuff. I just ordered the new Marder (1/48 Tamiya) and the Bronco J-10S ... I could hardly avoid buying the J-10A, but I already have the Trumpeter and building 2 of those non combatant a/c is not very likely...
all the best

A little addendum to the Komatsu.
I wrote a small inbox review (German): Komatsu G40 1/48 Tamiya
and it only needs paint (XF-75 --- which I have to buy first, hope it is already available):
as I wrote it is a cute little kit .. and it is fun.
cheers
Steffen

That bulldozer will be fit nice in a diorama with the title "building an airfield"
With a ki-43, some figures (3-4) and the curogane (or the Isuzu)
Cheers Nick

Hi Nick
it is a IJ Navy vehicle! Of course If you build an island airfield it would still fit with an IJA aircraft....

Yeah I know wrong thread and probably also wrong forum but I do not know where to put it here on Aeroscale (I'll post it on Armorama as soon as it's done).....
I decided that the colour does not matter to me that much and thus I just mixed a shade of blue-grey and painted the thing. After that some washes (Badab Black and Devlin Mud) and adding the decals. Still some weathering ahead (MiG pigments and maybe a slight drybrush)
all the best

Hi Steffen
It seems funny talking about a great brute like a bulldozer being cute, but it does seem apt in this case. Very neat - I'm half-tempted to get one someday.
All the best

Well it is always a matter of perspective ....
I find it is a small and cute model (see Kurogane comparison above) and here is another one with a Jagdpanther:
Hopefully the figure included is note one of Tamiyas Halflings ...
cheers

Hi all
This weeks haul!!
The Albi is awesome but lots of bits missing mostly small cast parts, apart from the wheel struts!!!,I've emailed Modelexpo with a list.
I'll let you all know when I get a reply.
The Proxxon drill is a beauty, really fits the hand well and revs at a lot slower speed than my Dremels
The bag contains hypodermic tubes in lots of sizes, ideal for rigging ,gun barrels etc ,got them off Ebay ,

mix and match your sizes very fast free service (UK) Green is good for 1/32 turnbuckles
Cheaper than buying lenghts of tube, most of which you wont use?
The plastic can be cut off using my new Proxxon drill with a round saw blade!
