Well my mini Tomcat is finished
The full build log can be found Here
Technically the scheme I chose no long carried the Phoenix missile as it had been decommissioned but I just couldn't resist the classic load out for the Tomcat.

Looks good, Allen. Very fast work!
The full load on the Tomcat looks great - especially the brutal looking phoenix missiles.
Good to have you onboard the campaign swinging your wings in the last second

Just finished the decals... hope to finish the canopy tonight and give a wash before taking some pics.
I broke the antenna tip 2 times already, hope to get it right this time. Also missing 2 small clear parts on the wing tips.
I hope to get this bird finished by Monday.

Allen! A VERY good-looking Tomcat (aren't they all )! I really must try "the small scale" some time!
John! I am sure you'll make it!
Stefan! I hope you have spent the beautiful weekend we just had here in Sweden in the modelling dungeon !
Allen, you are number ten to go green. And I still have some green paint left in that bucket...

Hello Everyone,
So I have got my digital up and running, and I managed to get some pictures of my F-14 that I built just in time for this group build. Hope you all enjoy it..Its not what you guys usually do, from what I've seen, but hey Doesnt she look sexy in black?
Ignore the popcorn kernal in the first picture...That was my modelling snack...Gotta love homemade popcorn

Great to see the swing wingers coming in to land just before closing time. Some really nice builds in this campaign.
Well done, guys.
John, how did the SU-24 parts fit? Anything to be aware of? I have this kit in my stash and I am suspicious of the fit.

Well Jesper, I didn't had many problems with the kit.
The fitting was very good , no problems with the cockpit, engine bay or wheels.
Some filling is needed with parts A1 and A2, but that was it.
The Zvezda Fencer is based on the same moulds, I suspect the Revell one too..
Some issues:
- poor detailing of the cockpit.
- Difficulty to fit the wheel bay doors after putting the fuel tanks... but this was my mistake..
- Adding decals to the wheel bay doors after glueing them... my mistake too...
- the Antenna that is on the cone consists of 2 small parts, very fragile, broke it twice while finishing some details and adding decals, so leave it for the end...
- the decals for the instrument panel are too big
- I didn't use the weight on the cone (step 3), didn't need to the plane is well balanced.
- D10 parts on step 7 weren't very easy to add... now that it's over I noticed I forgot them..
- E11 and E4 / E5 are very small parts that might get lost very easy...
As you can see most of the issues were mistakes
If you need any help or question let me know

Hi All,
Well hopefully i'm in by the very skin of my Teeth.
Here's my Airfix 1/48 Tornado. This has not been an easy build by any means, the fit of the kit was very poor between the two Fuselage halves and again with the vertical stab. The cycle of sanding and filling seemed to go on for weeks. Added to that the kit decals were very poor (Possibly beacuse of age??) And quite a lot didn't make it as far as the model. I used an Xtradecal set for the main markings, but had to rely on the kit decals for the stencils etc.
Anyway enough of the excuses, here it is. (Apologies once again for the Photography)
Victor.

Hi all!
Victor, Your Tonka looks beautiful!
You have done a VERY good job on her!
I have finally finished my Italian Tornado (Italeri 1/48) in the special "Panther scheme"!
Never before have I been as relieved as tonight when I could say; It´s done!
This has been a very hard, tidious build!
This kit have almost NO fit, every join needs to be filled and sanded, very vauge locating points for most parts and an incorrect drawing.
Only good point was the decals from Cartograph, beautifully printed and they behaved perfectly and snuggled down with some Micro-set and -sol.
Cockpit from Neomega and the model is painted with Alclad White Aluminium and Humbrol #21 Gloss Black.
Well, here she is;
Whew, I did it with 1hr30min to go!
Thanks for a fun and well run Campaign, good job everyone!
Cheers!

Time to sum this one up, ribbons have been awarded and the final update of the table is posted below!
Thanks to all who participated, people have come and gone during the campaign but with a bit of help in the shape of an extension, we ended up with fourteen finished models. Not bad at all I think!
Thanks!

Thanks for the comments on the SU-24, John. I will keep them in mind for the build.
Victor and Stefan, nice Phantoms. Your struggles with these kits were worth the effort. Stefan, the decals look fantastic!
Magnus, thanks for a great and well run campaign. Excellent looking ribbon!
