Small up date here . Wood grain has been added to the instrument panel , waiting the final details . Either I will use Eduards German gauge set or one from Copper State Models .

I replaced the floor that Roden supplied , wasn't happy with it , Eduards is much closer in detail then Rodens . I made the floor using 5 thou card with framing added under it . The rudder bar was made from scrap plastic , wire . I will use the control column it's not bad at all , just add some small details to it .

The Lozenge is Four Colour Lower . These are the new ones from MicroSculpt . The colours have a very fine hue to them . They are very thin and caution has to used , they tear really easy . My first attempt I ended up doing this . No settling solutions were used at all , didn't have to . They laid down really well and once in place that's the only shot you have . Our Lozenge Master Stephen help in the development of them , he knows his Lozenge !

The main upper wing will be done soon along with some more work . I'm hoping to have the rest of the frame work done and painted up soon .

I would like to thank MicroSculpt for the samples on these new wonderful Lozenge decals for this project !

Very nice detail there Terri. I'll have to think about that lozenge......I really want a thin decal. Would love to make my own but the decal paper is just too thick.

Steve

I really like the instrument panel and your work with the floor and rudder pedals but I think you should have used the four color upper lozenge toned down with swift coats of highly thinned light gray paint instead of the lower color lozenge.

My God your right Kalt , I did use the wrong ones ! Well to late for that now . I will tone them done some maybe even try the texture decal as well . Thank-you for letting me know . I don't think i would have notice at all until the fuselage was closed up .

Thank you for the complements on the small details Steve and Kalt .

Don't forget to flip the lozenge to show the reverse side for the interior. This means the pattern will be shown in reverse. Then don't forget to match up the locations on the outer surfaces so the lozenges will coincide. . .

I know the feeling but you can leave the lower color lozenge on cockpit's floor but as Stephen said it should be reversed.

Well here is some more pic's of what I have gotten finished so far . Still have a few more bits to add along with weathering and then the fuselage can be closed up and the fun of test fitting the lower wings begins .

Stephen , Claudio , Hugh -Thanks for the comments and having a look .
I'm not very happy with the out come of my efforts on this one . It looks alright but too many mistakes . Not turning back now took me to long to make it this far .

I did try and reveres the lozenge , but it didn't have any change in the colour and I had a hell of time getting the to stick down so I didn't flip them . Re do it again ! Then I had no trouble at all . I did tone down the decals with grey pastel chalk ( make-up , more than just for a pretty face ) .

Even though not being happy with some things , I'm have fun on this project trying new tip and techs and suggestions ......................

Learning new tricks..........and disguising / hiding little errors is what it's all about. I got a ton of them.

I think it's coming along well.............plus your keeping at it!!!!!!!!!

You've got a good eye for detail.

Steve

Looking really good. I wish this kit came in 32nd. From what I understand, you can mix a little white glue with a lot of water, and that should help the decals stick a little better.

Another up date -more small details have been added , seat and seat frame , new bracing wire , triggers and cables for them . Still need to decide on what to use for seat belts ! I do have just the metal bits for them or I can use Eduards set which is more then likely what I will end up using .

Stephen , I did apply lozenge to the back seat , tried on the front with great failure. Mirco sol is not reconmended with the use of these decals . Just totally melts them away into a pile of goop ! I believe I used too strong of a cemical on them . So this could have been my error on my behalf . Just don't send Eyegore after me !

Carl , I Have tried the white glue and water before with great success . Works very well , but when I filp the decal reverse the colours were the same . So it wouldn't make sence to me in doing that . Please don't hold this agaist the decals . I do highly reconmmend them .
I'm planning on a side project and trying out the five colour upper and lower a long with the texture ones on one of my favorite aircraft . It would be nice to see this aircraft in 1/32 scale . I know there was one out there a long time ago . Believe it was mongram or Revell .
Never know Roden may just come out with one .

Well I don't know about a good eye for detail Steve , but I do surprize myself from time to time . Thanks for the kind words , shouldn't you be finishing that SE5a so we can all go ooooooooo , ahhhhhhhhhhhh .

Many thanks Rick . I did have to look up the word ( algebraic ) in the dictionary . You through me off graud !

Most impressive indeed. Your work in general and this build in particular is rising to another level and it's a joy to watch! Model on.
