Thanks for the kind words Mark . Goal tonight is to start the rib tapping on the top surfaces .
The fuselage will be left for a few days to give the future time to get really hard before I start the stripes . Just don't want the white to lift on me . This is the first time that I ever had white turn out so great ! In the mean time I will start painting the smaller items and getting them ready . So I will have more pic's up soon .

One step a head of you Kalt ! the lower wings are not glued in place yet . I wanted to see what they would look like with the fuselage and the tail plane is only tacked in place for when I sprayed the white , which is the first time that it has every turned out for me .
I will seal the white with a few coats of future before I do the black stripes .
Once I clean up the air bubbles the wings will get a clear coat as well before I add the rib tapping .
You are learning really fast!

Well it may not be up to some peoples standards. But thanks guy's ! I have some really great teachers here !!! It would be nice if Roden did this in 32 scale . I would like to get one and shouldn't you be focused on the SE.5a there Steve !

I started the ribbing taping now on the upper surfaces of the wings .I did have to apply a clear coat over the decals to keep them from falling a part . For the national markings I will use aftermarket decals . I just don't like Rodens decals so hopefully they will improve on this in the future .
I was going to do texturing , but I haven't really tried this yet and I don't want to make a mess out of what I have gotten done so far . I do have spare wings in the part box and will use Rodens lozenge on those and practice a bit before I apply it to a work in progress project . Sorry Stephen ! I will add fading with pastels so if I do screw it up it can be washed off .

I have a question here for you guys . Before I get to carried away with the rib tapping . I want to make sure that I will have enough . Was it common for the leading egde and trailing edges to be covered with taping as well ? I have notice that on some builds have them while others don't .
thanks guys

Good morning follow string baggers ! Paint is all dried now ready to be handled . I used Tamiya masking tape for the first time and I love this stuff . I'm short by one stripe though so please don't hold that against me ! I'm very happy with the end results of the stripes . In my first attempt on this blog Tom pointed out in Osprey book on the Fokker vol 1 can't recall which one . the stripes on the turtle deck was not the chevron pattern but horizontally which seems to be some controversy over this . So I went my own way on this one .

Terri,
Excellent work on the striping! Very nice and even. You can be proud of that! I like using the tamiya tape also.

Thanks Claudio and Mark . I spent over a hour doing the masking and the results paid for it's self . Getting better with the airbrush as well , this double action is fantastic !
I do have a small up date as well . Fuselage has national makings on and dull coat , ready to spray the metal panel . Rib tapings are almost done on the top wing . I will have more pic's up later tonight ....................................

That really looks great. It would be perfect for the stripe campaign. I got this one in the stash. Lets see, if I move those two stacks, then stand on my tippy-toes, and reach around the Eduard kits, on the top of the stack....
Well I think maybe I'll stick with my first choice since it's in the front.
But seriously, You did a fantastic job on the stripes. The lozenge really looks great also.

Thanks for the kkind words Carl . I have a few striped aircraft lined up for the new year .
Here are some pic's of the rib taping so far . I must say I really don't care for Rodens decals at all . Having nothing but troubles with them . I had a nice glossy surface . Sprayed the decals as well . Even tried white glue and water and still in some spots they will not lie down right and have some silvering .
Here is the metal decking and leather padding with national markings on .

Over the next few days I will focus on getting the rib taping done on the top and bottom of the wings . And with the guns . Also start with painting of the smaller items . This one is almost coming to end now .
Happy Holidays every one !!!!

Somehow, I don't think they were trying to hide from anybody in that paint scheme. Looking good.

Looking really good, Terri. !
I'm seeing that you had the same problem I had with the lack of density of the fuselage crosses. Perhaps, you should retouch the white sections....
Also, remember to paint the first section of the upper decking light grey and the rest with the lilac-medium green "painted" lozenge. Something like this:
Merry Christmas ! Féliz Navidad !

Thanks Steve for having a look , even though it's not 32 scale Glad you are enjoying this build .
Kalt , you had to rock the boat did you my friend ! I have replacement decals for the natioal markings . I already tossed out the rest of Roden decals , but I have to continue with the rib tapings . I was going to rob them from a old Eduard kit , but they are to dark in colour .
The gun decking I painted it to what Roden called for . I might try and do the lozenge on that part free hand but on the best part I will more then likely rob a small piece of lozenge for the pruple from another kit . I would like to leave it ,I really like the bare metal !
Thanks for your feed back Kalt

Well, if you decide to do the upper decking "lozenge" you should paint it and not use decals because you will have to use the same colors to paint the axle wing. Check this picture of the restored OAW Fokker D.VII at RAF museum:
