It is a fake plane (JFU) made of the wreck of a Ki-43, I think. Used as a decoy at airfields.

That looks like a captured Ki-84.....
"Why you? Why me for that matter? Because the moment simply is. Have you ever seen bugs trapped in amber?"
"yes."
"well, here we are, trapped in the amber of this moment. There is no why."

a three bladed prop would make that a Ki-116 Hayate. Basically a ki-84 made for kamikase.
why is it is US colours? captured or a false flag operation?

No, that's wrong, it's not an 116.
It's captured....

Could it be the Ki-106? I've seen pictures of it in captured colors

Wow, cool that I got that right. Does anyone really know the difference between the Ki-84 and the Ki-106? They look really similar, but i know they're from different companies.
Moving on, here's a new mystery plane for you....

Hi Matthew
It's a Ki-54 isn't it? (and I think the Ki-106 was built partly with wood to save aluminium etc. that were in short supply.)
All the best

Yep. Merlin, it's a Ki-54. Thought it might be more difficult because of the Chinese markings and the lack of turrets on it.
Over to you for this next one

Hi Matthew
I was already thinking "Tachikawa" because of the Ki-106.

Let's see if anyone can identify this weird one:

Hi Michal
Do you mean the Fokker D.XXIII? This is very similar, but an independent design. Look further East...

Hi Nick
No, it's not by one of the really major Russian manufacturers.

Hmm the only thing I can think of is the Tupolev I-12 which looks like
it may have some lineage to this. But it isn't the I-12.
Another Chernyshov design perhaps?

Hi JP
No, not the I-12, this is about 10 years later. Think of a manufacturer whose name is reminiscent to the Russian capital...

Ah OK. Moskalev SAM-13, good clue. The tailplane does look like
the I-12's I think. What where they thinking!? I'm no aeroplane
designer but you look at that and just think nah, never going to work.
At least things like the Skua, for example, look ugly but at least
it flew.
