Excellent job!! I love the wood grain effect on the fusalage and prop! Well done! Now, if only they'd shrink this down to 1:72 scale...!

Thanks Rick, Terri and Johannes. I appreciate the kind comments. i look forward to having my modelling room on my new house up and running very soon. I really miss being able to sit down and work on something. I did buy a nice display stand for my models.
Terri, I painted the prop tan, then used oil paint for the grain, and drew the darker laminations on with a brown Sharpie using a picture of a real prop as a reference. Then I sealed it with Tamiya clear yellow.

Ok,
There's 16 inches of snow outside and I have the flu, but, I've got my new modelling room in our new house set up and have made some more progress. I had to repair some damage to the tail from the move but all is well.
Here's the tail back together and rigged on the bottom.............

And the top....................

And here is the prop installed with rigging and engine plumbing...............

Just a few little things left and a little more weathering to even things out.

Thanks everyone, I've really enjoyed this build. I look forward to more Wingnut kits. Here are a few pictures of the finished build. I'll have better ones tomorrow.

Thanks for checking in and giving me encouragement, and a very special "thank you" to Karen.

Until next time,
Mark

Absolutely stunning work Mark. The turnbuckles, the wood grain, your careful application of the lozenge decals, just stunning.

Congratulations, Mark! You did an outstanding job on your LVG.
Your build blog was a big help to me in building mine. Especially your tips on using the hypodermic tubing for the buckle bodies.
Cheers,
Eric
