Really looking forward to your build Rowan , very nice resin set . Detail looks like it is done really well and will really bring life to the cockpit over the kit parts .

Hi Terri. The 109 has booked an hour with me tomorrow night, between the Gladiator getting it's top wing on and the P-61 getting some more interior detail. That is of course provided the P-47 doesn't push into the queue or the He 115 start complaining again that it needs a final weathering wash !!

Ah the chaos! The G-2 is coming along but the Verlinden detail set isn't quite the 'state of the art' it used to be and has required a lot more care in prep and installation.

In the mean time...

The Monogram G-10 is coming along quickly. Alas, in my zeal to make some progress on _something_ I made several detail errors on the G-10 I'll simply live with and correct on the next model.

It helps to consult drawings: I restored panel lines (that didn't exist!!!), corrected the cockpit shape (only after closing the fuse), and failed to correct the horrendous stock seat that comes with the kit.

Meh, Live and learn!

Cheers,
Fred

Frederick, what at first looked like my work bench (organized chaos) turned into a nice lookin build so far. Keep up the good work, you have given my dusty Monogram Bf109 kit a second chance for life well maybe not it is the parts box at the moment. Again NICE build.

This is my first 109 build since the 1960's, the camo did not like me back then while using enamels when I was learning how to use an airbrush so I never picked up another 109. This came in the mail today and I get to try again for those 40 lost years.

Jesper this will be OOB, but tell me the shortcommings of this kit anyway please

Well, the aircraft has its "underwear" on.... which considering there are ladies present is a must.....

The base groundwork is on the plaque.... figured that if it was being used as a runway that the grass wouldn't get to high... But I might add some taller grass in places...

And yes. As a matter of fact, I do have a use for all that open area in front of the aircraft.......... will let you know what it is if it works out... Otherwise, it is placed so to give the feel of the take off run and the open spaces before the aircraft. My story and I am sticking with it!!!!

Boss Lady,

The grass is a blend of Woodland Scenics "Blended Turf - Earth Blend" and "Blended Turf - Green Blend". But it still needs some flowers and an area of taller grasses over in one corner.... Then I need to see how good my sculpting skills are....

Hi All

Well, some of you might have noticed that I am pretty much into jets at the moment. Still I want to fulfill my Campaign targets (and there are quite a few).

So - for starters - I want to do someting easy. I got Academys Bf 109E-3 Bär ltd. edition for review as I wanted to try the decal camo. As Jean-Luc noticed in his review the decals are half tone printed (hope that is the right phrase, I mean "gerastert") on the sheet. Hope this will be a bit toned down with the washes and clear/flat coats.

Target: easy project, OOB, no fancy stuff ...

I'll start a BLog soon.

Before I forget: Some really nice progress here already!!!

all the best
