What about a Bf 109 campaign ?
I don't ever recall seeing one done before here and if so it was before my time . So lets get a group build going on this .......
Come on guy's , you all have a kit in the stash that would love to have their panels painted and with the number of varieties let along the marking options with all the declas out there we could could get a great GP going ...........I'm sure lot's of Eduards 32 scale can fill a few spots !

I have several Fine Molds 109s in the stash and my daughter has told me that I am allowed to use the spare decals for "red 22" from her Hobby Boss kit so I am in!

Hmmm. Could this be something for me? I wonder, I wonder...
Ok, what do you expect? This is my ground zero! Of course I'm in. Of course I don't know which one to do from the stash. Of course I'll rather get an Eduard E in 1:32 and start looking for Trautloft-decals.

of course I am in .. I have just counted, I only have 13 finished so far .. bad number, should add a few soon
Trautloft E-1
Ihlefeld E-3
Wick E-4
Müncheberg E-4
Pingel E-4
Bär F-4 (my first 48 scale model)
Viktor Bauer F-4
Berres G-2
Grislawski G-6
Josten G-6
Ewald G-10
Borchers K-4
you see, just something for geeks ... sadly I must say, I am in....
cheers

Good geek, Steffen! I'm far behind but will try to catch up.
Recently I've found some pics and info about a G-10/AS that had to land in southern Sweden in 1944. It was overpainted with swedish flags in stead of three-crown-cockards and test flown from different airfields. That's the one it'll be!
So now it's just a matter of finding the right base camo before the whole thing starts. You got any info on JG51 in april 1945? Pilot should have been a Hptm Waldemar Wagler.

Thanks guys!
if you count it, I have only posted 12 pix ... I have none of my Bf 109G-6 "Marga" flown by Heinrich Bartels ... should do an article one day.
@Tuomas: at least 20 .. but probably more
BTW th pix shall just motivate you to give the one-O-nine a chance ... thus some very old models there too (the F-4 of Heinz Bär is about 15 years old now)
cheers

You're in luck Tony, if you do get the Eduard 1/32 E-1 it comes standard with Trautloft decals- no need to buy them extra.

So by the responces so far sounds like we have a winner ! That's 10 so far which say they are in . Pretty fast of you guy's on this one .......................
Steffen , You are far to funny ( Hypertension , not here ! )
Nice little collection you got going there . The only one that I have in my stash is Hasegawa'a S-199 . Over priced , but did get it on sale at the LHS . New box , just the molds are really out date , but still a very nice kit . Won't be building that one will order the Tamiya kit of the E-4 .
Well what can I say there Tony ! ( " I knew you would bite " ) But what took you so long ?
Okay Guy's and Gal's I guess we need some sort of rules here and a starting date !
How does October 1 and going until March 1 or we can start on Jan 1 / 10 until June 30 / 10
The rules !!!
1. Only Bf 109's can be enter .
2. Any scale ( except for Tony , He's not allowed to touch the small stuff )
3. Must be of own work .
4. Any after market can be used .
5. Progess must be posted .
6. Have fun at it !
Every one alright with this ?

Sounds okay to me. I've had a look through the stash and was surprised at just how few 109's i have left.
But i found what would be my subject for this campaign- the Classic Airframes Bf109D with Hungarian markings.

Hi Terri
I was just asking because you only wrote the Bf 109 in your rules .. I personally do not intend to build such a "Copyschmitt" ...
cheers

I have a Hispano in the stash, but I won't touch it here. Anyway, I feel that my own 109-collection would be incomplete without them, so I agree they should be allowed here.
One interesting question though, since the breed went on longer than even the Spitfire. In 1969 Volvo released the 144-model and it ran on until 1993, when the last 240 was built. Story goes that the front doors from the earliest 144 will fit the last 240. What parts from a Bf 109 B-1 would fit a K-4, or an Avia or a Hispano for that matter? Anybody knows? I would guess the radio hatch has low odds, but I'm not sure.
And I won't go below 1:48. Got my first reading glasses today, but I still won't!

"Copyschmitt" ...
Good one Steffen , I would have to agree with you on that one , but to be fair I will allow them if any one wants to build a " Copyschmitt "
This should be an interseting one Hermann . With 109's beginning so popular time to have a campaign going .................

I'll bite. I just got the Eduard 1/32 'thing.'
Does anybody know if someone makes an after market set of Volvo doors for it, or is it a Volvo with Copyschmitt doors? I'm not clear on that one.
I think any collection should have a -109 in it. I have the version Kennedy commanded...oh, wrong 109. Nevermind.
Great idea, Terri, for what should be a very fun and colorful campaign. I think there will be a lot to learn from this one for me because of all of the beautiful work and effort I have seen from some of those who are 'in.' Ya dun good with the idea,
Thanks,
Matt

I know where I'm going with this:
I have a Hasegawa G2, an Eduard PE fret, some True Details wheels, a Verlinden Super Detail set and an Aeromaster "Experten" decal sheet that need to become friends.
