Personally I think attack helicopters lend themselves beutifully to the ground support role, but a strategist may disagree with me ..personally Im doing the HIND..

Looks like I am in with a Roden 1:48 Fairchild AU-23A Peacemaker an armed gunship, counter-insurgency, utility transport version for the U.S. Air Force. It was used during the Vietnam War in the early 1970s. 35 were built under licence in the USA by Fairchild Industries. All aircraft were later sold to Royal Thai Air Force. I may get lost in this build. . .it only has one wing. . .and no rigging. Unless someone else want to commit to the build?

Nice one Stephen. I almost bought that kit a couple of weeks ago as it was a feature in the Squadron mail out cataloge.

Guys, I've decided to build an A-10 for this campaign instead of the Skyraider. So.....since I have a couple of Tamiya 1/48 A-1J Skyraider kits in the stash I'd be willing to trade one of them if anyone needs a plane for this campaign.

I hate to do this but another Aeroscale Contributing Member has asked if he could could do a kit. Since I am upto my neck in plastic kits I figured it would get built sooner if I offered it to him. Our man Andy Renshaw CALLSIGN: "skyhawk " is getting the Fairchild.

Howdy Y'all!

I've just enlisted. I decided to bag the Blackhawk idea and take something out of the stash. I'll be working on an AV-8B Harrior; Monogram's old 1/48 scale kit. I hope to use markings from the Somilia campaign.

Y'all take care,
Don "Lakota"

no, the OV-10 is the Bronco. Mowhawk is a OV-1. The OV-10 is the twin boom, 2 engine light aircraft flown by the USAF, USMC, and even the USN (VAL-4)for a short time. Only 1/48 is the old Testors/Hawk mold that needs serious work (like paragons resin update) to make an A or conversion to make a D.

Hi all,

I'll be building the Accurate Miniatures Il-2 Stormovik. Won't make the June 22 kick off as I want to finish current build before starting this one. I'll keep an eye on the campaign. Hope to join you soon!
