Its somewhat a bit of bad luck that this build will be taking place along with the big beautiful bombers campaign. I already intend to build a bomber in the 3B campaign and unfortunately most of the better pin ups were on the bombers. It would be impossible for me to build two bombers due to work. So I will have to find a decent fighter pin up. I am guessing that there are probably some decent after market pin up decals for fighters.

If you go to your edit profile page, there is a space for a link right above the place where you put the URL for your Banner. if you have a link and a banner, the link will work with the banner

Now I cant decide,,lol
After first thinking a 1:48th Rozzie Geth/Boche Buster this campaign would also be a great opportunity to dig out the 1:32nd Hasegawa P-47M release seeing as I have decals sitting in there for Leo Butistes "Josephine My Flying Machine"
Decisions, decisions.............
What a pleasant problem to have

Now you go steady now Nige we don't want you breaking out in a sweat, having moved up from 1/72 to 1/48 in the space of a year. don't you think 1/32 might be pushing it? You need to break yourself in gently

Did the
1:24th VFS P-47 I've been building steadily for the past 12 months slip under the radar?

Just a thought it might be wiser to put the date as "March 2010" on the banner as Camogirl just read this and thought the campaign was starting on the 3rd January 2010.
Date formats can be confusing at times

Hey guys! I also was a bit worried because most of the OOB kits with pin ups were bombers but there are plenty of companies that make decals for WWII fighters. I haven't decided what plane to build but I know I will be getting decals from Pyn Up Decals at cybermodeler.com. It's pretty much the holy grail of what we're doing.

Folks,
I might be wrong, but I believe Pyn-up Decals were a by-product of Meteor Productions---who is no more. However there are still quite a few of the Pyn-up sheets showing up on E-Bay from time to time. Plus I think you'll find the Bombsite Models are attempting to step into the void. Plus there are plenty of Aeromaster sheets running around in 1/48 for various aircraft. The secondary market is quite well stocked with these also. And it definitely does not have to be a bomber, just look at the Gulf War decal sheets as well.
Fortunately there is plenty of time to find one that "spins your Prop" so to speak...no need to rush. Keep building, gang. ...........Bruce

PYN up decals were indeed a product line of Meteor Productions and each release was a limited run of 300 copies. I was fortunate to recieve some P-51, P-47 and P-61 decals in 1/48 just before Meteor went belly up.
Bruce did you mean
Bombshell Decals rather than Bombsite Models?

Allen,
You are quite correct, my apologies...it is bombshell decals. If I remember correctly, at present they only have B-25 decals available, but with a promise of many more to come. Sorry about my error, folks. Take it easy...........Bruce
