Just wanted to let you know the build is on ice At the moment I have a few campaigns coming up and 1 with my f-16i right now.when these are done I will continue.dont forget to sign up for pin-ups 2 sorry shameless plug
Also wanted to mention the recent review of life colors rubber paint set.these colors are a perfect match for the various blacks on this bird.

Just found your thread, Great work!
I too have had this kit sitting for some time, I think I started rescribing years ago but didn't get too far
will have to get back at it. I also have a C-130 and U-2 both in 148 scale that will receive the same treatment.

ok so I manged to get some work done finally. finished the main landing gear have a little body work to do on the center spar.but its mainly complete and I will start working on the forward landing gear next.as you can see in the last pic all of that will be cut away.

started creating the front landing gear compartment.first I boxed it in...
then I cut some sections from an f-16 fuel tank to begin creating the two nitro tanks which I then stacked plastic card on until I reached the desired length...
I then attached them to my drill and used it like a lathe with a hobby blade to get the desired shape...
Here is the differance after smoothing and filling..
And here is the end result I will be detailing this and post soon...
