There some great work going on in this Campaign, 'Cuda would be proud. I hope he gets a moment to check it out sometime soon.
I took my Mirage to the last club meeting and got some decent pics taken. They are in the gallery now, and you can check out our club website
HERE , I think it's a pretty good site !

Keep up the great work folks.
Cheers, D
Edit: It's great to have the Campaign Galleries back up and running, a huge effort and big thanks to Staff_Jim for his work !

Micheal--great pair 'o -21s you got there. Did the final finish tone down the colors a bit? Is there any way you can get a little more light on it in the photos so we can see her in all her glory?
Damian--she's a beaut! Great metal work. That is one heck of a radome. Cyrano IV radar inside of it? On the real thing I mean, of course.
Looking forward to seeing more completed as the campaign winds down. And hoping mine is one of them. It's gonna be close.

Just need to mask the exhaust and sort out a couple pylon issues and then it's time for paint.

The light green got toned down substantially and everything blended together well with the flat finish. Gotta love Alclad Flat. As far as the pics go, I will have to look around my house for some extra light, I inherently lack a good camera. In fact all of my pics are off from my phone! But that doesn't mean that I can't try and make them better!

Michael,
I take my finished model 'glamour' shots with a DLSR and a light box. BUT the in-work build photos were taken with my iPhone and a desk lamp. Granted, they are not that good, but they will do.
Does your phone camera have an HDR setting? That function takes clearer pictures, even in low light, and does not use the flash.

I'm calling this one done. I'm not happy with it, but it will do.

The Future and semi-gloss coats caused the color to turn a darker gray.
The colors on the custom decals on the tail flash ran. I think either the decal sheet or can of sealer was past it's shelf-life. Then I disasterously tried to touch them up by hand.
The oil wash ate through some of the decals. My fault for not applying enough Future.
She may not be show-ready, but she's display case ready.

We should all be so lucky to have such a fantastic model to not be happy with.

Okay Lady and Gents,
Thanks for the kind words. (Although, Jesse, 'fantastic' seems a bit strong.

) But did you not see my laundry list of things that went/are wrong with this build?? Nothing that can't be fixed down the road, just a bit frustrating at the moment.
Like many of you, I am my own worst critic. I figure about 60% of the time I'm happy with the way a model turns out, 20% of the time I'm just "meh" about the end result, 15% of the time I'm disappointed, and the remaining 5% I'm pleasantly surprised by my handiwork.
In a couple of weeks I will take better photos of it using a 'real' camera and then you will be able to see it "warts and all."
Thanks again. Keep up the good work everyone. Are there really only 6 days left in this campaign? Crunch time!

Hi there
It's great to see some more excellent builds coming together in the home straight.

I think I'll have to admit defeat and drop out of the campaign. There are just so many reviews to work on, I can see I won't get any modelling time for quite a while.
All the best
Rowan

Rowan, I was soooo looking forward to seeing that lil' Lippissch ! You do realise that the bestest way to review a model is to cut the parts off the sprue, glue them together and paint them ???
I hope you get some time soon mate, I really think it's time for another Merlin and J-L dual build.
