I can't recall now whether I used Model Master 34079 or Humbrol 91 or some other strange green. Which Humbrol paint does Heller call for?

It's given as 102/7013 which says army green. I search and found it is almost equal to dark green.

I'm sure that you can explain to les Gendarmes des Coleurs that any differences were caused by the weathering.
Andy, that B-58 is a delectable little model. It's just the ticket

Damn Andy, I've just found that kit in the stash and was thinking of doing it for the campaign. If I had more time on my hands I would have done the 1/48th Revell kit I have in the stash instead. I do concur that I just love the shape of the Hustler and such a cool name as well

Hi Andy, I was thinking of doing a gears up as well but in a South East Asia scheme. I know what you mean about the 1/48 i don't have enough room at the moment either that and i don't have enough Alclad

Man, I have a lot of stuff I should be working on. And I SAID I wanted to do a "pure" delta (-102, 106, Mirage, etc.) for this campaign. But ever since it was ruled that an F-16 qualifies, I can't stop looking at:
I'm thinking I'd better build it for my own piece of mind. Sound OK to you all?

Just seen the Viper's allowed!!!!
So: I'm in with an Illinois ANG F-16C Block 30. It's the 48th Tmiya kit, Afterburner decals, brass AOA's and pitot.
Maybe I'll hunt for a replacement bangseat on evilbay but that depends on what the kit seat looks like built up.
Good stuff already going here and nice to see some known faces.
Oh and Jessie: thanks a zillion for your heads up on hobby shops in BC. Visited Shavers in Victoria and (ohmygood:) Imperial hobbies. Been working on a freshly imported Hobbycraft 48th Otter on floats since then. Proud of me I hope? No way to steal the 'Queen Of [auto-censored]kit's thunder but hey...
See ya'aal soon!!

I just completed this build along with the fw190d-9..
It took me a little more than 2 weeks to complete this. The kit is not the best in the fittings department but still ok and furthermore, i think it's the only Mirage IV out there.
As the kit is molded in dark colours, I airbrushed the whole aircraft first using tamiya sky grey, then preshade. Then I airbrushed the main grey colour using tamiya dark sea grey and the green tamiya olive green. I coated it with gunze arcylic flat clear and clear.
without load
with the nuke and drop tanks

Magnifique! Your decals behaved in a far more civilised manner than the ones in my kit did.

I got my kit second-hand, and I think the decals were very old. They didn't want to stick, and the setting solution made them wrinkle up but not conform to the surface. I'd really like the opportunity to replace them sometime.

Mine was second-hand too. But I guess buying second-hand kits are like buying second hand cars, purely based on luck.
