thanks everyone for the positive remarks on my "widow" . I prolly should've dirtied it up a bit...
I should build more a/c after watching everyones progress on here!

Black Widow is a great looking bird! I can't wait to see the real thing start flying around in a couple of years. The Mid Atlantic Air Museum is restoring one to flying condition. One of my favorite aircraft of WW2. A very advanced design from the stable of Jack Northrop. Again, great looking model there. Russell

Hey guys as most of you know I have suffered a bit of a modelling burnout so modelling has taken a back seat and I removed myself from the campaigns.
I had a fancy of doing some modelling today so decided to re-enlist and start work on Hasegawa's P-47 Angie
(I couldn't post ongoing pics as I went along with the site being down for the server move)
The kit 8am this morning:
By 10:30 am
By 11:00 am
By 12:00
and by the time I packed up to go and sort by horse out at 14:00:
now its awaiting a final coat of primer and possibly another sanding on the seams.
Its a nice little kit its gone together really well minimal effort, filling or sanding

Right got it into the spray bay we now have aluminum and white for the stripes and ail plane on. Next up is to mask off the white on the fuselage and then spray the black. Also need to spray the stripe either side of the fin and then olive drab the whole tail plane.

Really nice looking Jug there Justin!
Ok i have finished my Fw190 for my Campaign so I am ready to kick off with my build here. I will be building a 1/48 Academy P-38 with a Legend cockpit and some Master barrels. The markings for my build will come from a Cutting Edge sheet for "Miss Cheri from the 8th FS/8th FG based at Le Shima between April-Juuly 1945.
All natural metal finish (Pics to come)

Love your finish on your Jug Justin!
I've always been hesitant to try a natural metal finish..but after our vacation to the Dayton OH AF Museum, I may have to attempt one!
one of my favorites was "Bockscar" the B-29 that dropped the bomb on Nagasaki.

My bolt found its way into the spray bay earlier just need to airbrush the gloss black on the cowling and the stars and bars then decaling time.

Wow, Sam! That's some fast, quality buildin'!
Nice job on the P-47N, Justin. It's unfortunate about that carrier film, though - otherwise it would be perfect!
I've made a start on my entry....I'm building an Italeri (ex-AMT) A-20G/H Havoc in the markings of "Miss BeHave" from the 312th BG as per a Pyn-Ups decal sheet. This kit has sat around in the stash for a while now, and seems like a simple kit of the sort that we make it more likely to meet the deadline
This weekend I got the cockpit painted (shown here WIP):
As I'm not using any aftermarket (other than the decals), I decided to make belts out of kitchen foil and wire. Not entirely accurate, but once painted they should look OK underneath a closed canopy.
And here they are painted with the fuselage dry-fitted!
There's not too many parts to this thing - especially for a bomber - so hopefully it will go FAST!
(fingers crossed)
Regards-
Tom
