Michael, I wonder what yours would look like if you changed the yellow to "radar screen green"?
Jessi,
Not a bad idea, but I can't for the life of me get my "fill" tool to do that. I really gotta get a reasonable graphics program.

Hello everyone. I like all of the ribbons and the campaign idea, now to enlist and locate a kit (not much in the way of a hobby shop here in Austin, TX).

@ Mark: Glad to see ya again buddie, I will need to look Up FWIW Austin IPMS.
@ Jessica: Thanks for the thought, I have a question re: the rules. Does the aircraft need to be a purpose designed or any a/c with a radar set?
@ Damian: Glad to be back among friends and mates how is everything going in OZ?

Rather than take over Michael's thread, c'mon over to the VP thread and we'll negotiate there.

Vance: Got it! Looks good to me so far, thanks for the tip!
Bob: Welcome aboard! If you're asking about night fighters, it doesn't need to have radar or be purpose built, just dedicated to night fighter use. So an early war black painted Hurricane or Spitfire would be fine. Indeed, a WWI Sopwith Comic or something like that would fit too.
All: I'm kinda liking my original design but in green as modified by Jessi. Sound good?

I searched through the boxes that are stacked in the apt. and found this Airfix 1/48 Hawker Hurricane Mk1. I had a night fighter scheme for this at one time but cannot find the book or decals, could anyone point me to the website for some help?

Bob,
How 'bout this?:
Pretty much standard Gleed markings on his Mk.I but painted black for night fighter use. Only problem I know of is the non-standard six exhaust set up (probably a squadron modification to cut down on glare). Maybe you can scrounge those.

Michael, thanks for the photos they help since most of my stuff is still packed. I wish to change my kit entry, originally I posted an Airfix 1/48 Hawker Hurricane. I would like to switch to a 1/72 Airfix Hawker Hurricane if possible, here is the photo.

I hate having campaigns out there without ribbons, so I made an executive decision (somewhat supported by voting) and went with:
I hope it meets with everyone's approval. If not, I suppose I can change it, but that's what we're going with for now.
On to the important stuff, what am I going to build? While I have some single engine possibilities (F6F-5N, Fw190, etc.) I think I will choose from:
I know some of these have been spoken for, but there's no rule against duplication!
I'm leaning heavily towards the Widow, but there's plenty of time to change my mind. Any thoughts from our readers?

Hi Michael
Campaign ribbon looks good!
If you ask 10 people for opinions you will get 10 different ones.
Duplicate builds are fine and will high light fit issues due age of tooling, plastic formula, etc.
I am building a B-25 for Pin-up(1977 Revell/Monogram) campaign and have no engine to wing fit issues but another guy with same kit had to fill gaps with strips!

Ribbon looks good.
My plan is still the ancient Airfix P-61A.

Hey! Mark I need to get you to branch out in 1/48 scale. I just hate the thought that you will hurt your eyes on that small 1/72 scale
Honostly I will be looking forward to your build, the last time that I was that kit was 1967.

It was not my intention to build a P-61 but I just found out there is one heading in my direction, I won the subscribers draw last month and that is my prize:-) so my nightfighter will be the Great Wall P-61A and this is a first, I've never built a P-61 before. Pics when it arrives
