Warren, that D520 kit is unquestionably a Frog. The instruction sheet even retains Frog's catalog #, F-155.
Glad to have you aboard!

Thanks Jonathan.
I wimped out with the decals though. Hasegawa are having a big 10 week sale and one of the items on sale this week is a dual combo from Hasegawa of a D.520 and an MS406. I can use the extra decals from the D.520 on the Frog kit.. problem solved! And I get two more kits for the stash..

Hmmm.. I forgot about this one in the stash. I got it many moons ago in a collection but there are no instructions and no box etc.. Can you guess what it is?
"Help meeeee"..
A hint..
Just a bit of flash..
Could this be another Frog contender? Does anyone know where I can get instructions and some decals??

Wow Jessie! That was quick and very helpful.
U was amazed at the number of options available when I finally went and had a look online. Those decals you sent me the address for were $17.50 plus $4.50 postage to me in Oz. To me that seemed much too expensive, so I took a gamble and ordered an Eastern Express re-pop of the kit and it comes with two decal options.. so I can build a wheeled version and a float version.. Sound like a plan?
Cheers and thanks

As long as it costs less than $22.- it's a plan.

Tomorrow it starts. I have decided on doing this one:
The past decades bouncing around in my stash has taken its toll. Some parts are missing. All the clear pieces are gone and the prop is broke/missing blade. I will be using Squadron replacement canopy. I also scarfed a prop from a Academy P-40 kit. The only thing that will be aftermarket is I had a spare seat from Pavla. Other then that it is all Frog. I will definitely be mounting it on the stand in the ole school Frog tradition. Just not sure at this time if it will be gear up or down. I will not be putting the pilot in since I have never mastered painting figures. So after taking inventory and noting the condition I am ready to start.
Cheers

Hi gang,
how much longer does this campaign last?
Also, I have the hardback book history of FROG. I have been asked to review it (in progress) and I will let you know when it is ready.

Was it FROG or Heller that made a 1/32 SBD Dauntless?

Matchbox way back in the mists of time, and then Trumpeter not all that long ago.

When Jessica doesn't know you can always try Scalemates which has almost every kit every produced on their database.
I built the Matchbox version way back in the mists of time. If I remember it was pretty good, or was it I just didn't have the standards I have today?
On another note, I just won a couple of old Frog kits on Ebay so it will be interesting to see what they are like when they get here... that reminds me I better go pay for them!
Cheers all
