Here I go
As yesterday was a non-working day in Spain I could start my model.
First the "origin of the species"
The box without the spare parts
First of all, as in all my Hase F-4, join the front and rear part of the body, its easier to fight with the joint this way than following the kit instructions
Some detail added to the exhaust, I´m not going to change them, just a Zoom set for the cockpit
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Im ttying to get something like this:

Time to launch those Phabulous Phantoms!
Magnus - but what are you gluing?
Alvaro - nice start, not often you see a Spanish Phantom built

Neil! I did only a bit of ceremonial glueing: the lower wing inserts where the catapult hooks up for the navy Phantoms ! I can thoroughly recommend doing that before mating upper and lower wing surfaces since it is a great advantage being able to manipulate the not-too-great-fitting insert from the inside!
Alvaro! Good start! I'll follow your example of doing "full" fuselage halves!

Sven I nearly bought that kit last night! In the end the Phantom lost out to other contenders.
Still, great minds think alike.

Yes, but what Phantom is it?
Off to a good start here though - Spain, RAF, JASDF already.

Sorry friends, I should have told you so that you didn't have to lay awake to figure it out !
I'll do two Hasegawa 1/72 Phantoms, one is a USAF F-4C flown by Robin Olds in Vietnam, the other one will be an Israeli RF-4E!
Those are the kits. The F-4C is spot-on for the purpose and the RF-4C is remarkably well suited for an Israeli RF-4E since they all seem to have had the "hard" wing (at least during the early seventies which is the era I go for) and un-slotted tails. If I am wrong, please tell me! The difference is in the longer engine exhausts for the E but that matters less since both types are included with all the Hasegawa Phantom kits. As you also can see I immediately followed Alvaro's advice regarding the fuselages!
I got myself a bunch of after-market goodies (without going over-the-top...) in Moson two weeks ago in the form of resin seats and engines and two sets of Eduard zoom etch. Pre-painted...
Decals from PrintScale and Cutting Edge.

Hi There spook lovers! Ok then what should I build? I have sufficient stock and decals for literally any, except HAF because I don't have the decals yet. I may have slowed down considerably but didn't quit my long term Phantoms over the Nations project, this means ı have already did some. As far as I can see we have Japanese, USN, USAF, RAF, IDF, and Spanish(which is fortunate for me because I have already started my Spanish C and it is way beyond 15%). So if anyone not volunteering for Iran or Korea I can take one, or I can go patriotic and build a TuAF one...which wouldn't make me any less happy eventhough I have already finished my "Black Buzzard" merely 85%. I am open for suggestions.
PS:I have previously done RAAF too.

I'll have to consider the end date as I's like to get into this. Also, anyone considering a Hellenic AF or RAA"F-4"? Ol' 'Double-Ugly' looks great in those colors (see the bottom profile).

Your photo of the SEA-scheme JSDAF F-4EJ is a great reference for weathering!

Why, why, why didn't I buy a phantom the other day... assuming my Frogger/Dagger build goes to plan I'm going to have to try a hail mary phantom build in the fall.

Welcome Frederick and Yalym, I am planning to do a HAF ex-Luftwaffe RF-4E.
Frederick - if you do an RAAF RF-4E that would be awesome.
Yalym - Unless someone comes along and bags one of those 3 I would say feel free to choose yourself.
Andy - I am in no way promoting favouritism, but I'm really really looking forward to seeing you doing that Academy F-4B

Though I still need some time before I start, I can show you already what I will build. This is the kit: F-4E from Hasegawa in 1/48 ....
.... and this will be the markings. It's from CAM Pro Series No. 48-010 ....
.... so we have our first Turkisch AF Phantom here
Good luck for all your builds!

Hahaha Just as I was reading the messages above, before reading you message I thought "Hmm no one building a Luftwaffe F? Strange"...ok Herr Rossmann, let's make a deal then. You build the TuAF one and I am building an F-4F from LW. How about it?

If RAAF means what I think (Royal Australian Air Force) they only had a bunch of leased F-4E not RF-4E there,
AFAIK the reco Rhinos RF-4E where operated by Luftwaffe, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Iran, Japan and ¿Korea? (not sure abut the last) and the RF-4C used by USAF and Spain and Navy/Marines RF-4B
