Go on then, twist my arm...
Ouch!!
OK, April 15 then. But don't forget to remind me, I'm gettin' up there in years.

Work is still progressing with the Mig 29-A finished adding the gear doors and given the bays an oil wash to make the details pop a little. Got the ordnance on bamboo skewers for painting.

Chris, good looking Mig.

Hi Brent thanks for that, I don't usually do modern jets but I do quite like the look of the Mig and it had Libyan markings so it fit with the campaign!

Well the Mig bashing continues I've had a number of handling errors (read dropped!) and I've had to rebuild but that's life. Ordnance is on and so are the gear doors and landing lights. Now I need to paint to paint those miscellaneous items! Here are a few more pics to show what I've done I've dirtied it up a little especially around the intake bypass as it'd suck in a lot of air and get quite filthy! I've also added a little soot around the cans just to make it look used.

Okay I'm calling this done...... before I drop it again or do something else totally idiotic! This kit and I have been at loggerheads since I started it .... don't know why. Nothing wrong with the kits engineering, it went together fine but I lost bits off it, broke bits off it and it generally fought me at every step. Some kits just are that way whether it's something that I psychologically set myself up for or an attitude I got about the kit after the first couple of mishaps who knows. But I do LIKE the kit and the aircraft it represents, it builds into a great kit and looks just great. LOL okay enough soul searching so here are some pics of the finished kit.

Chris, beautiful work on the Mig. It will look great in the campaign gallery.

Thanks Brent I must admit to a certain satisfaction that I have completed it especially as it's been a challenge. However next time (yes there will be a next time I have two more to build!) I'll approach it somewhat differently. Hindsight is twenty twenty after all!
