Very nice - I have an eye on this kit from its announcement because of the very promising design of the kit itself. I am not that much interested in the IAR but the kit looks great :-)

I just received my IAR 81C about a month ago. It really is a spectacular kit! I am just finishing-up a Mustang, and have been thinking about doing a dual build, the Icaerodesign kit alongside one of my old LTD IAR 80 kits. Can't ever seem to do things the easy way.

Thanks, everyone! I won't deny that this kit does pose some challenges- but so far the fit seems great, and without any additions will make a beautiful model. That said, I can't help but plumb the cockpit, and since an open cowl is provided I'll just have to jazz up that spectacular engine.

As for shirtless males- well, you ladies have your fantasies and I have mine. ;D

Was the Yee Ah Reh flush-riveted from the cockpit back? I always thought the IAR fighters were good looking airframes.

I should know, I had a pretty fair size one myself for years. I was 5'11", 232lbs, 42 inch waist, & a 18 inch neck. Just didn't much care for the way I looked. Last Jan I decided to take control. Went on a 1,500 cal/day diet, slowly worked my way up to 2 1/2 miles per day (jogging), and by the middle of July reached my goals: 180 lbs, 36 inch waist, and a 15 inch neck. I know live on 2,000 cal/'day, and still jog 2 1/2 miles 4-5 days per week. Feel great, but still look old (I'm 66 come this Thursday).

i really enjoy watching your work take shape ive been modelling on and off for a couple of years now and ive looked at most of your posts you are a real inspiration and an artist.

do you have any plans for anything modern ? i think im going through a faze of doing helicopters at the minute but before that it was ww2 aircraft. not posted any work on here yet but i will do soon.
