Given everything going on I am authorizing a one month extension of this campaign until 1 January. But that's it, so get on it!

Hi Guys
Dont need an extension finished this one up yesterday, here is my progress
You have the landing gear on the wrong side. The wheels are supposed to be on the outboard side of the legs.

Hi folks!
I'm close to the end; last step is to fix and glue the canopies in the open position. Some more pics and a few log/kit details will follow. I really enjoyed the build of this very nice 1/72 Revell kit. It`s worth the money and definetely recommended.
But 4 now...
In memoriam to Erich Hartmann, all time ace. In 1956, Hartmann joined the newly established West German Luftwaffe and contributed to the build-up of new fighter units. In 1959, he became the first commodore of Jagdgeschwader 71 "Richthofen". He died 20 September 1993.
37-86 of Jagdgeschwader 71 "Richthofen" Wittmund in anniversary colors and markings ("Baron"-red combined with Hartmanns tulip-art).

Great looking model Thomas! I've several of Eric Hartman's wartime mounts to build and I keep forgetting he had a career in the post war era. A very colourful and striking build!

Thanks Chris!
While waiting for the canopies stay glued in position
some spot-ons (see left above:if one chose to leave canopies closed, he has to fill all gaps between the 4 parts). The oob-nozzles, nothing to mention ...

Joe,
great looking corsair. I always wanted to motorize my models, but never done it. Looking at Your corsair, I think I really have to try this! Awesome result!
Thomas,
thanks for posting so many nice pics of the phantom! It looks very cool and the weathering is spot on and not overdone for this colorful bird! Congratulation! I find it very difficult to built a colorful model without the appearance of a toy like model. But, You managed the job.

Although it won't be finished before the original end date, I will at least have posted my beginning, Italeri's Sd.kfz.234/4
.
Having looked at available images online, I see what an inadequate offering it is internally and to a lesser extent externally, so it'll be painting practice for the time when I get a decent version of the vehicle.
The gun shield was broken so it got a spare (with Italeri's massive gun-sight aperture somewhat filled in) and a new muzzle brake. A few alternative tools and the middle fender boxes filled in is the full extent of the changes I was willing to make
Primed:
and camo painting using putty to mask
.
It's now sitting waiting for finally touches so I see a completion by the weekend
