Can't imagine to mask the checkers and I will use some spare decals for the markings.
So this brought me to the only one solution to keep the campaign alive and save the done work. Switching to another scheme, another Squad ...
So welcome to 332nd FG in the same theater

I hate you guyz, especially Franck. Y'all are making such great progress, Franck even has paint on his A-36. I just barely got the wings on my A-36 last night, plenty of filling and sanding still to do. I'm nowhere even close to a paint shop.

Added some detail to the engine cover interior since it was completely blank and didn't even have the intake hole.

Good looking last minute work going on here. Just a few days left, everyone. And don't forget to post pictures of your finished work in the gallery.

it's possible to have an extension ? I was sick last week and I couldn't do anything on my A-36 Apache.
I put the decals last night, and now i must paint the loadout, weather the model and do the final assembly.

Lots of progress over the Thanksgiving weekend.
Preshading the main colors.
Finished the green splotches.
Ready for decals. Used lots of decal leftovers from other kits to build this version from the Ali d'Italia book on the MC.200
Decals complete and ready for matte varnish and final touches.

Nice progress everyone. A lot kits are closing in for the final. Keep them coming!
Brian, I am deeply impressed what You have made out of the old Revell kit. It should be out of the eighties, I think.
Finished my Steyr so far. Just added some wind shield and some wipers and a little dio.

Great progress guys,
Oliver, Steyr looks superb.
Update #3
I'm also ... almost there. Finished decals (skipped those small numbers that should be attached per each hull plate/section(?). They were too small to attach them properly.
Now also done basic weaathering - dry pastel based wash and later few oil and fuel leaks here and there.
Remaining stuff to do is to re-attach everything I accidentiallly tore off in process and seal with matt varnish as the plane looks too glossy to my liking.
Here are some pics:
Cheers,
Radek

Looking good everyone, and good luck to the late starters!
I ran into a snag on the 1/32 Hurricane IID. Lost a formation light cover. I'm trying to fill it in with epoxy, but that takes time. We'll see.
I figure on starting our last WWII theater campaign (the Eastern Front) in February or March so we all have a break. What do you think?
Michael
I will want to be in on this, it sounds like fun!
My M3 Lee project ran into some trouble with my "mud daub" camo turning out like dried light drizzle on a dirty surface, not AT ALL what I had been hoping to achieve. I'm in the process of hiding the damage. These things got so dusty that it will not make much difference on the model. It seems there is always a lesson in humility building these things . . .

Radek and Brian:
I am very happy that You like the Steyr.
Radek: The Messerschmitt looks really cool. I like the subtle weathering.
Paul: Sorry for the problems with the M3. See You at the Easter Front campaign!
