Hey Terri.
I dunno, first I hear your working 9-5, and then you diss my lights sis,,lol.
Can't hang around I have a lobby call to make.
BTW, did you know that the average working day for someone who hangs all that "lights and crap" from the ceiling is 18 hours?
And we do that 3 days in a row, day off, 3 days in a row,,day off............repeat till fade.
Sometimes I wish we had the unions over this side of the pond as well.

I'm not dissing you Nigel . A friend of my works at rexall place and most of the lighting stays in place all year long . It does take the band a while to set up all the sound equiptment and to do there test . 18 hours makes a long day . When i was younger those hours where what I worked . Couldn't do that now . I keep with the hours I have now .
By the way , how is the mini cooper coming along ?

I don't know chief...most of all the factories here who had unions, which for years had been a good thing, are now heavily faultering - by cutting wages, no raises, cutting hours and bennies...my plant, non union, has been slow, but we're back up and running at 40plus hours{for now} with no cuts in pay or bennies ever. Unions aren't always the cats meow...at least for factories, in my biased opinion.
Back in my youth, we had allsteel, barber green, lyon metal, catepillar, thor, fuller brush...all have gone elsewhere except for lyon and cat.

Concerts are nice and all, but I found I like the albums{ohhhhh, just dated myself!} better...sound and mix wise. Although, pink floyds light show was great!
For me, concerts seen, 2 zztops, one pink floyd and a rush concert.

Nigel, speaking of the mini, I entered the ferrari campaign and was heavily thinking of an austin powers shaguar paintjob for either of the two kits I have to choose from....any pointers or things not to do from the attempt on your union flag? Actually, what did go wrong with that attempt...if you don't mind my asking?.......

Hi all. The mini is still WIP,but apart from about 6 days in early May I have been living on a tour bus since April. Home in 10 days though, and will get started on the projects again, mini included! Watch this space. Nige

No concerts but went to We Will Rock You last week and that had a load of lighting crap hanging from the ceiling, looks difficult in a hundred year old building. Pretty good show tho and the set "technical trouble" didn't spoil it. Weather this weekend is anti-grill (it's raining) but I still use the old charcoal grill.

Well today is a sick day which means no going to work . wrapped up three blankets four pairs of socks on and still feels like I'm in a damn freezer like I'm a piece of meat hanging there waiting to be cut up for the market sold on plastic trays to feed a hungry family !
Not much time was spent in front of the work bench at all or even on the laptop , bed was my best friend . I did manage to get half way through on writing the review for Dragons kit of the P61B .
Rain is something we really need here Andrew , how about sending some are way ? It's really dry here of late . Smaller towns out side the city aren't doing so well which means no crops this year for most farmers .
Nothing wrong with using brickets to do the grilling Andrew , adds better flavor the gas ever will . So what are you grilling anyway ?
Stephen stay away from the Lozenge canvas the guy's are using that as ploy to come over and play with your models !!! Did you see the look in Bobs eyes ! Even with the safety railing I'm sure Tony will still find away to fall off and start pushing meatballs around your yard . Not that there is anything wrong with that , could be some weird military training pratice . ...........................................
This has all been dream , when you wake up everything will be back to normal , well most things ..............................................

Gee, Terri. That's the best idea ever . If I train my guys pushing meatballs they will never be shot above the waist.
By the way. If there is a treshhold, I have high enough railing to keep me in.
Ooogachacka-ooogachacka (Doin' rain dance, but keeping the rain. Got a dryspell in these parts too.)

Since I'm already at home I don't have to click my heels together and all float planes are safe in sound in their boxes tuck away nice and neat awaiting their day in the sun !
Stephen has float-planes just doesn't want to share them at the moment in fear of one person might get the idea that they should be in his collection instead . Not that this said person is bad or anything but it has been noted by neighbors that this particular person likes to run down the street with a lozenge cape I might add holding a float plane over his head making engine sounds through his lips !!!

You know, sometimes this thread gets surreal, that's why I love it, Terri take whisky, honey and hot lemonade, or if lacking the honey and lemonade the whisky is perfect, just increase the quantity. Come on Bob, leave the lady's float planes alone while she is sick, besides I want her Roden Felixstowe.....when I've forgotten how much swearing I have done at the Roden Strutter
Stephen be careful about application of lozenge cloth, my PC10 painted Gazebo could be after it.

Hit another ebay hassle...guy lists a 1/24 car kit and I buy it but it turns out to be a 1/32...he says I'll take the return but won't give me his return address...ebay is usless at this point. It's been two days since he last replied...I'll give him till tonight or I'll have to go thru paypals resolution process....I hate when this happens!...takes away from the hobby.

We're out for two weeks, which the weather can set to everything between one and three. But the most important thing is to find the quality times. Bbq on a deserted no-name island, night navigation between lighthouses and buoys, race for this years top-speed and who makes the best dry martini. All equally important.
About the 1:32 car I have only one tip. Go get a Fly or Ninco slotcar chassis, put the body on that and invite your buddys to bring their old 70-vintage Scalextric tracks. A sure win

Well that really sucks Bob , that this guy will not take care of the issue in a civilized manner .
This is one of the reason I stop using E-vil bay about a year ago now . It's just not worth it anymore . Don't get me wrong here , I have gotten some really good deals on hard to find kit's .
I just don't support the site anymore . They seem to have very little interest in handling matters such as yours and they have counterfeiters on there selling copies of modelling products and they know who this guy;s are but do nothing about it . That really takes away from the hobby as well . I hope you are able to get it resolved soon Bob .
So you want the W-29 do yah ! Tell you what give me 150 $ us and it's yours !
And now you have Andrew starting with the Felixstowe again .....................Talk about tag teaming a Lady when she is down !!!
Enjoy the Holiday Tony

I've been on ebay since 2000 and this will be the 3rd bad experience...1st was a truck kit listed as complete but was missing parts, but the guy refunded 1/2 the already cheap cost{happy then rolling chassis for a resin cab}, 2nd was a truck kit listed as unbuilt...frame was built...she refunded all but shipping{happy again} and now this. Not too great, but after 220ish times, not too bad either!
I will comptemplate your offer{negative tenth of a second later....}...I'll give you 151 yen.
