Got the bar redecorated

If I had that set, I would want them armed, with the remote safely nestled in my bartender apron.

Well, I can see the value in that, great way to get rid of loud obnoxious drunks.. My worry is stumbling off to the loo and waking up singing soprano in the heavenly chorus.

Jessica, that has to be one of the most expensive table & chair sets one could ever purchase. Not that my charming and lovely wife would consider it for a mere second. She shares none of my military and modeling interests.

BTW, for our non-American friends, did you know that Turkey wasn't on the menu for the 1st several Thanksgivings, and that the Wampanoag Indians just showed up, and weren't invited. And they showed up in great numbers, like most of the tribe.

Joel, It is the basis for modern holiday get to-gathers. They smell the food and people suddenly show up with your borrowed lawn mower or hedge clippers. The turkey was eventually chosen so that the unwanted guests would fall into a deep sleep. Then the hosts would carry them out to the deep forests so the bears could eat them before hibernation. That's is why some colonies did not have the same numbers they started with at the end of the winter months. Happy Holidays to all.

Thank goodness we now have all the holidays at our house. If I doze off, which does happen from time to time, I'm already home.

I'm not so sure I have a lot of faith in our new chef. Who checked his references anyway?

Greetings all,

It is a soft winter's evening. I have spent some time at my hobby desk today working on some prep for 2 special builds for 2014. Also continuing on the old Eduard 1:48 SSW D.III. They are supposed to come out with a new SSW D.III mold for their 100th kit issue. Christmas movies on almost every movie channel.

Lasagna, fresh bread and coffee, apple pie and some other snacks. Now I look outside and its been snowing for about the last hour.

For anyone just roaming around this evening I have plenty. Come sit down and we'll watch Celtic Thunder Christmas Video. Warm soft blankets are available for anyone wanting a nap in their favorite ez-chair. Soft Christmas music at each booth and hot spiced wine is just on the boil. Hot chocolate and peppermint sticks. The 8ft tree is trimmed and I have managed a few gifts under the tree. Ho-ho-ho ya'll.

Just wet here, actually it was very sunny today in the Pacific North Wet. Got to go out on a winding road and pretend that my 4Runner was a supercar.

Marinated shrip with baked potato and green salad for me tonight. Bottle of Alaskan Amber Ale chilling in the fridge. Might even get some modeling work done before bedtime.

Well, worked my butt off yesterday. Of course it was spring here on Long Island. Temps reached the 60s, sunny, and just a beautiful "spring" day. Off today and Monday till I get to go in to do a overnight shift. Naturally, it's windy, rainy, and just plain old nasty.

If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any.

Happy Holidays!

This statement of good wishes (”Greeting”) from me (”Sender”) is intended to be generic in nature. “Holiday” is intentionally left an undefined term. This holiday may include, but not be limited to, Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, New Year’s Day, Saturnalia, or even Elvis’ Birthday (”Elvis” is a registered trademark of Elvis Presley Enterprises, Memphis, TN). Further, the recipient of this greeting (”Receiver”), may insert his, her or hir own holiday into this Greeting, either explicitly or implicitly, or no holiday at all, if he, she or zie chooses. If Receiver celebrates no holidays during the intended period of Greeting, assumed to be roughly mid-December, 2013 through the first week in January, 2014 (”Greeting Period”), he, she or zie may consider Greeting to be merely general, and a simple wish of good feelings and joy, suitable for any time of year, or no time at all.

Greeting should in no way be construed to guarantee or warrant happiness or other good feelings during Greeting Period, or warrant or guarantee an acceptable holiday. By accepting Greeting, Receiver expressly agrees that he, she or zie assumes the risk for his, her or hir own holiday. Receiver will hold Sender harmless should Receiver’s expectations for Greeting Period and wishes contained herein not coincide.

Greeting is at all times subject to withdrawal by Sender, and it may be canceled or modified at any time, without notice to Receiver. In the event of cancellation, Receiver shall receive no credit or proration for any time left in Greeting Period. Greeting is not intended to be transferable, and has no cash value. Under no circumstances may Receiver in any way alter Greeting, or publish Greeting directly or indirectly without express written permission of Sender. Permission may be withheld for any reason within the sole discretion of Sender, with no rule of reasonableness.

Should Receiver not accept the terms of Greeting listed above, no rights or benefits related to Greeting will accrue.

Should a dispute arise from Greeting, Receiver agrees that jurisdiction and venue will be in the Courts of [your local jurisdiction]. Sender and Receiver agree that personal jurisdiction will lie in those Courts, regardless of the location of either party. Greeting will be construed under the laws of [your local jurisdiction], without regard to Choice of Law or Renvoy.

Wow!!

In any event, I personally accept Jessica's offer of a Holiday greeting, and so in good form and proper manners, extend to her the same Holiday Greetings.

Well, my Festivus grievance was that there was no Festivus grievance.

My son got me a bottle of Chimay blue for Christmas, I may settle in tomorrow night and enjoy a very cold one....
