1/32 BAe Hawk T.1a decals (1:32)
With Revell releasing their 1/32 BAe Hawk T.1a, now is a good time to mention that Xtradecal have several sets of decals for the Hawk in various schemes.
Kinetic have released a rather tasty looking 1/48 F-16A block 20 dressed up in grey tiger stripes for the TIGER MEET 2009. Included with this release is a PE sheet, a turned pitot tube and oh yes some pretty spectacular decals designed by DACO products from Belgium and printed by Cartograf of Italy. There is quite a parts count, hopefully there are plenty of things to hang from the wings.
Pavla has released images of their forthcoming detail sets for the A Model 1/72 DH 100 Vampire Mk I. Detail sets include one for the cockpit, including two different styles of canopy. Another set containing the engine nozzle and wheels. Finally there is the pilot's seat available separately.
1:32 Yak-23 Flora (1:32)
First announced last year, Planet Model's 1:32 all-resin kit of the Yakovlev Yak-23 is now shipping.
Airfix have reduced the price of the three versions of their line of 1/48 Canberra's by around 50%. In other words buy two kits for the old retail price of one kit. They were originally priced at £29.99 each. Airfix have reduced them to £14.99. If you're living in the UK, if your order total exceeds £40, you are offered free postage. Can't be bad. 1/72 Buccaneer S.Mk.2B (1:72)
New release from Czech Master Resin [CMR] is the Hawker Siddeley Buccaneer S.Mk.2B, which has to be one of my favourite RAF/Royal Navy aircraft of all time.
Stormo! Online Magazine has released the third part of its series of decals featuring Bf 109 aces of the Regia Aeronautica and the Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana This time the focus is on the last months of the war, with a great selection of late Bf 109Gs and 'Ks of the ANR.
The Mustang is certainly one of the most popular aircraft of WW2 so it's no wonder every producer wants to have it in their stable. This time ICM Holding has prepared another edition of the Mustang in the British markings.
Here is the latest release from 4+ Publications. The Panavia Tornado colours and markings is available in their Mark 1 Guide range. As with all these titles under the Mark 1 Guide there are decals included with a choice of scales to choose from.
Osprey must have read Eduards minds, as one of the releases this month is the B-24 Liberator Units of the CBI, of which Eduard have released a 1/72nd scale kit.
1/72 Seafires and Jugs. (1:72)
Sword have announced that they will be soon releasing in 1/72 a P-47N and the Seafire L MkIIc. Both aircraft seem to share the common feature of clipped wings. The artwork for the box illustration looks particularly good.
1/72 T-33's and P-80's (1:72)
Sword are to re-release their two recent versions of the T-33's in 1/72. This time they will have the addition of coloured PE parts. Also to be released by Sword soon is the P-80A/B. I recently purchased T - 33 USAF and RCAF and with the inclusion of resin parts and I thought it was superb. It can only be better with the bonus coloured PE parts. The artwork for the box illustrations look particularly good.
1/72 Sikorsky S-62 / HH-52 (1:72)
Unicraft have released a Sikorsky S-62 / HH-52 which is the Search And Rescue helicopter used by the U.S Coastguard.
1/72 2cm Flak 38 from Zvezda (1:72)
Zvezda has released a new kit which perfectly fits any German airfield diorama from W.W,2. The kit is well known 2cm Flak 38 gun.
Quite a few releases from Quickboost in 1/48 this month. The Mig-29 air intake and exhaust covers look good. I am not a big fan of resin pitot tubes, but the Delta Dart's look pretty tempting. Those gun barrels for the Hasegawa P-38 look stunning.
Master Details from USA has now been taken over by Maulcor Incorporated and the Company is now MASTER DETAILS. They are currently building their new website, but the great news is that MASTER DETAILS is scheduled to be open for business on the 15th of March 2011.
Kinetic have finally released their much anticipated and much talked about 1/48 Grumman Tracker. Markings are for the USN Sawbucks, VS-37. Decals have been designed by Fightertown and printed by Cartograf. The box is also marked for the S-2E and S-2G so whether these options or all three are available we will have to wait and see.
Iliad Designs have released two intriguing decal sheets for some brightly coloured Hurricanes in 1/72 and camouflaged B-29's in 1/48. After viewing the Hurricane sheet, I feel the need to buy a couple of Hurricane kits and paint them red and blue ready for these decals.
One of Anigrands latest releases is the alternative to the Convair B-58 Hustler, the Boeing XB-59.
1/72 MD-500 and MD-520. (1:72)
Profiline are to release two brand new models of the MD 520N NOTAR [no tail rotor] and Hughes MD-500D with floats in 1:72 scale. There are a large number of markings for each one. Profiline have produced the body of the MD in clear plastic, which this modeler certainly appreciates. Looking at the colour schemes I think ordering more than one looks possible. On sale from February 10, 2011.
Profiline are to release a U.S. Navy Jet Blast Deflector [JBD] with steam catapult. A great idea if you are fed up with having your US Navy aircraft just sitting on the shelf. Profiline will be producing the deck in 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 scale. Release date will be sometime in March, 2011.
Pavla Models are to release resin and vac formed update sets for the newly released 1/72 F-86F Sabre from Airfix. The T-14EA ejector seat looks particularly good. I will be receiving more images, hopefully next week. Also news that Pavla are producing resin and vac formed update sets for the Amodel 1/72 DH. 100 Vampire Mk 1/6. No images just yet so stay tuned, I will publish them as soon as they arrive from Pavla.
Included in this months releases from Quickboost is a great looking Tropical filter for the Bf 109F and the exhausts for the Sturmovik look excellent also. Just look how thin the walls of the pipes are. The spill doors for the Flogger are the doors that are just behind the air intakes and usually seen open when the aircraft is on the ground.

Mirage Hobby are planning to release four Apache helicopters in 1/72nd scale in March
Italeri have released two classic carrier warbirds in 1/72, the F6F-3/5 Hellcat and the F4U-7 Corsair.
1/72 Aires Resin Release. (1:72)
Just the one release this month. A cockpit set for the recently released F-22 from Fujimi. After just reviewing the kit I can tell you even though the Fujimi cockpit is pretty good, the Aires cockpit set is better looking than the kit. Also included is a PE sheet, including seat harnesses which are missing from the kit.
Hasegawa's releases for February sees two dual combo kits in 1/72nd and several re-boxed favorites.
1/48 Aires Resin Releases. (1:48)
Some superb looking releases this month from Aires. Including cockpits for the A-7E Corsair II, Ar 196A-5. Wheel bays for the MiG-17F fresco C and auxiliary intake doors and bay for the Phantom FG.1/FGR.2. Finally wheels and paint masks for the Ar 196A wheels. Almost something for everyone. All the cockpit sets come with PE parts as well.
1/32 Aires Resin Releases. (1:32)
Included in this months releases in the big scale of 1/32 is a excellent looking Flogger canopy frame and blind for the Trumpeter kit. A cockpit set for the Trumpeter Bf 109G-2 and two superb bang seats the K-36L ejector seat for the Su-25 and the M.B. Mk 16A ejection seat for EF 2000A. All four releases come with PE parts.
MPM Production have sent us details of their latest releases due to showcase at the Nürnberg Toy Fair this month, plus a sneak preview of forthcoming kits including the patterns for their eagerly awaited Sud Aviation Vautour.
Cyber Hobby have announced three kits for release at some point in the future at the Nurmberg International Toy Fair.
Eduard's February release list has been announced, and there are some great kits and update sets this month.

Skunkmodels Workshop have released images of their forthcoming HH-60 kits. One is the rather colourful US Coastguard HH-60J Jayhawk and the other is the US Navies HH-60H Rescue Hawk.
As you might have seen posted earlier, Mike from Bombshell Decals has released three new decal sets. Two 1/48 scale P-47 plus an upscaled 1/48 version of the B-26 Marauders he did last year.

New publication from Histoire and Collections. This title is pretty self explanatory, but the book by Gerard Paloque is packed with excellent looking photos and profiles. If you are tired of the thought of covering your next project in three shades of grey, take a look at this publication and do something different.
