Diego, again, that's some beautiful paint work!
Allen, MADNESS!! (It shows in your shaky hand too. I'm no expert, but you could consider bracing the camera against something and squeezing the shutter release button slowly.) Anyway, glad to see progress. I might try it myself soon!

To be honest this photo wasn't taken with my usual camera as it was still packed away from a weekend away. I grabbed my phone and used the camera on that, I don't use it much for modelling which just goes to show

Yes! Metodi, that's fine with me-- especially because my own entrant is in a very similar state! The rules are not strict in this campaign-- the idea is to clear those shelves and bring old builds to life.
When did you put it aside, or have you just found this website? Anyway, welcome aboard!

...and Allen, thanks for taking my criticism lightly. I should have figured it was just something like you described.
Cheers!

A little more progress on my Do 335 night fighter. The basic camouflage is on. My hand almost cramped up airbrushing it

More work on the mini-Me. As in -262. (Sincerest apologies to Dr. Evil)
Decals applied. None of the larger scale crosses worked so I was forced to make some out of white decal sheet. They are a bit big, but they're better than nothing.

A coat of Future was applied and an oil wash is next then the canopy.

Thanks for the comment, Russell. My first try on this kind of camouflage and pretty satisfied.

A little more progress on the painting. Details being painted and engines to be weathered.

More to follow soon

I have not posted here in awhile because I was wrapping up some of my November campaigns.

Jesper---The -335 is beautiful. Great camo job and a real "push-pull" death machine.

Diego---Your Corsair is exquisite. Great finish and a truly beautiful weathering job.

Keith----Cool looking ME-262..definitely tiny. Glad your eyes are still good.

I jumped back on the Revell-Monogram 1/48th EA-6A Wild Weasel that I had posted several months back. Here are some progress photos.

Got the white trim applied on the upper surfaces:

Here I have applied some light post shading and cleaned up the demarcation lines with the airbrush.

And now have applied all the trim on the tail, radome and anti-glare panel.

I am going to use IMPACT decals to depict a EA-6A "Drumstick" from USMC Composite-2 so it will have the Playboy Bunny on the tail.

FEAR THE DRUMSTICK!!!!!

Best wishes everbody, Ian

Diego - stunning work on the corsair - the paint is fantastic
Jesper - Nice squiggle camo - can't wait to see it finished
Ian - good start on the EA-6A, looks great. Hopefully it will inspire my building of the 1/72 Fujimi kit I have in the stash and keep promising myself to start

Ok, I'm calling my Bf109E-1 done. There are a couple of touch-ups to be done and I have to rescue the PE cockpit armour from the carper monster (I don't even have carpet in the hobby room, I don't know where it could hide) but essentially she's good to go.

One day I'll get a good camera - I'll take some better shots when there's more light.

Cheers

@Ian--very nice job on the color modulation, and radome and vert tail masking and painting. Do you foresee any issues with the white Bunny decals over black paint?

@Damian--congrats on completing your -109. That's one good looking 'Schmidt.

I applied an oil wash to the -262 and mounted it to a display stand:

Now to finish the canopy and call her done!

262 looks good Keith. I don't foresee any issues with the Playboy Bunny over the black. Impact Decals are very good and I never had any transparency issues with them.

Thanks for all the comments, guys. I appreciate it.

I have now finished the Do 335. I am pretty satisfied with the final result. This old Monogram kit goes together pretty well and builds into a cool replica.

I finished it in a night fighter camouflage with the night fighter markings and the Wilde sow emblem.

Comments welcome

@Jesper--beautiful -335! Have you gotten into washes yet? Not that yours needs it, but a wash does bring out the details and add some depth. What else do you have on your workbench for an airbrushing encore?

It's done! Applied a coat of clear flat and installed the finished canopy.

Now to get back to the big F-16...

Keith and Jesper, my hat off to you both. Those are beautiful builds from such simple kits. Really well done! Jesper, what you did with the simple relief engines in that Do 335 is cool.

Ian, I like the subtle gray camo on the drumstick. Thanks for sharing that!

Metodi, I see you found the Enlist button on the campaign home page, so you're on board and clear to get that plane flying. Thanks again for joining our hardy band.

Jesper-----What an evil looking 335 and I mean that in a good way. Beautiful work on that one.

Wizard, I see you've completed the Me 109 very well! That camo is SHARP at that scale. If I may ask, what tape did you use? Did you soften it on your jeans or anything?

everyone, I see too that the gallery is filling nicely!
thanks,

Thanks for all the comments, guys.

The monogram kit is quite nice for its age and a little careful painting really brings out some of the detail. If one really wants to add some extra wiring it should not be a big problem although I did not do it to this one.

I normally do washes and/or post shading with Tamiya smoke on all my aircraft builds, but this one I kept pretty clean. Mostly because there were very few seam lines and the detail was raised, so a wash does not add much contrast or bring out details.

Great work on the swallow, Keith. Probably my favorite airplane if I really had to choose one. It is great what you have done in terms of painting on something as small as this.
