Sorry, Nige. You put your money on the wrong horse or should I say plane I have just finished my YAK-3 a couple of hours ago.
Damn Jesper, you beat us all!
Your Yak looks very good! It's a worthy first entry for this campaign... I hope there will be more like that! By the way, I think the first two pictures are the best...

I can find the VVS campaign gallery and see the three pictures already uploaded there. However, I cannot choose this gallery for uploads of my YAK-3 pictures for this campaign.
It should work now. Thanks for the heads up...

Your "varnished coffin" is turning out very nice.
Looking at all those WIP pics, I started thinking about clear parts.
Have you test fitted them yet? And more, are you going to pose the cockpit to show off that detailed office space?
I've noticed that you have the style of leaving clear parts off until after painting.
Yes Eetu, I like to glue them in place at the very end of the build. But this is only possible if the fit is good. For this build I'm fortunate as the sliding part of the canopy wasn't fitted on the real aircraft. I will only have to place the windshield part and the two glazings aft of the cockpit. I will have to polish and dip them in Future though...
Since the first place is taken, I will try to finish second for the VVS Campaign then. Today I applied a worn out winter camouflage to my LaGG-3 and applied the decals. They look like ICM ones but worked a lot better!
One more day and I think I can be done... if I have no bad surprises!
