Spot on Rowan, I can never fool you, at least not for long
Knowing me, as you do, the manufacture source for the aircraft could only have been a couple of companies.

Spot on Rowan, I can never fool you, at least not for long
Hi Chuck
While it was a photo I felt sure I'd seen before somewhere, I couldn't place it and I certainly wouldn't have found it without trawling the internet - and, even then, it was only because Google turned up a totally spurious answer to a search for aircraft by a different manufacturer!
Anyway, let's see how people get on with this one:

Hi again
No ideas yet? Perhaps it would help to know the builder was best known for its trainers during WW2 and developed of one of today's most potent ground attack aircraft in the 1970s.

So does that make it a Fairchild Model 45?

That would be the Northrop Model 1929 Flying Wing??? That's as close as I've found to an actual name since it was supposedly experimental. Just in case, the serial number for the pusher configuration was X- 216H

Here goes nothing. Looking at this really makes it easy to wonder why the French lost the war... (there's your hint, it's French)

Hi Matthew
I think it's the weird and wonderful Arsenal-Delanne 10-C2. I'd love to see a 1/48 scale kit of this one!

Dang you got that one Merlin. I thought it was tougher than that by you still got it. It would be nice to see a 48th kit of it, along with the Westland project like it. Just strange to see how good aircraft can be messed up by trying to turn it into an attack aircraft of turreted fighter...

Hi Matthew
I've considered doing a conversion-build for the tandem-wing Lysander for some time. Seeing the Arsenal-Delanne has reminded me all over again. Maybe later this year, if I ever catch up with other stuff...
Anyway, enough daydreaming and back to the quiz - what's this one?:

You sir have me completely stumped. I just can't seem to find what plane that is.
Posted: Thursday, March 13, 2008 - 07:56 PM UTC
Hi again
Time for a couple of clues:
It's not Venezuelan - try one of the neighbouring countries - and the aircraft is a US-built machine.

Hi Graeme
Not a Vought. Hint: many of this company's a/c were named after birds of prey...
