Hi Jean-Luc
No - it's a Horten, but not the IV.

Okay, so it looks more like a Horton V1 V2 (successor to the IIIh)? Could be the V1 V1 but it only flew once and I couldn't find any photos of it.

Hi Chuck
No - not that one either.
OK - just to give everyone a chance, here's a pic of the whole a/c:
Now you just have to figure out what it is.

Hi Chuck
I knew a Wing wouldn't fox you once you could see the whole thing!
The pics are from Monogram's "Jet Planes of the Third Reich - The Secret Projects" by Manfred Griel, a great reference for late-war designs and a source of inspiration for anyone interested in Luft '46 subjects.
OK - over to you for the next one...

Yeah, that was easy.
It´s a landing gear "check-mirror"!
Well, works as a mirror, but It´s a highly polished piece of Aluminium (on a P-38).
Cheers!

Right on, Stefan. Now it's your turn to come up with a question
It is embarrassing that I never noticed them until a month ago.

Hi Chuck
That's because you don't often build in 1/48 scale... Hasegawa's P-38s include little die-cut mirrors to apply.

Rowan,
That would be a good excuse, but you'd think with all the pictures I've taken of the P-38's at Planes of Fame (1 to 1 scale), I would have noticed them at some time. I only noticed them while I was taking photos of "Glacier Girl" last month. "23 Skiddo" (formerly "Porky II") has and has had them all along.
I guess I've always been so awestruck, I've never noticed them?

Hi all!
Well, here´s a pic I found in my archives!
Can you identify this, and the aircraft?
No, clues...
@Rowan, Thanks for the remainder...
Cheers!

Hello all! It is nice to see the trivia again.
It seems like the exhaust area on the P-38, the picture turned upside down.

Hi all!
Nope, the pic ain´t upside-down!
Dave, You´re correct!
This is one of the superchargers on this beautiful B-17G "Return to Glory", photographed at the March AFB museum 2004.
Beautiful noseart;
Dave, your turn now!
Cheers!

Well, that was an extremely lucky guess.
Sorry for the delay in responding been a hectic day. Had a doctors appointment, and lawyers appointment that took up most of the day, Only got 3 hours sleep, remember I work nights, and now have to run out to a boring meeting. Enough P&M's from me.
And I'll yeild my turn, to Phantom2, so please ask another question Stefan.

Hi Gábor
I think Stefan must have missed Dave's invitation to ask another question. Perhaps you could post the next one? - if not, I'll sort something out tonight.

Would that be a Fairey Swordfish? With Float instead of wheels.

Hi Allen
You're close - but it's not a Swordfish...
